Dogswell Nutrisca Grain-Free Salmon & Chickpea Recipe Dry Dog Food, 28-lb bag

Nutrisca is one of the only grain-free recipes without potato or tapioca, which are high on the glycemic index and may contribute to weight gain. Instead, low glycemic chickpeas and peas are included as excellent sources of protein, fiber and folic acid. Low glycemic ingredients provide better digestibility for sustained energy. Nutrisca's balanced protein levels, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables and chelated minerals provide optimum nutrition and palatability.

Miracle food for both our dogs with severe food allergies! I've tried all dog foods both commercial and homemade for our sweet girls. Our Boston Terrier is allergic to almost everything. Our Chihuahua suffers with food allergies and acid reflux. After starting them on Nutrisca, they have no more ear scratching, paw licking or tear staining. Their fur is soft and their energy level is high. Very little gas too! Yippee! The morsels are the perfect bite size for smaller breeds. I highly recommend the Salmon and Chickpea for those furbabies who can't eat poultry or beef. Also autoship is the best!! Thank you, Chewy!! So glad I found you! We couldn't be happier! Best dog food in the world! My English Bulldog will eat anything, but he had chronic ear infections, and wrinkle infections, and was very yeasty. Until my sister recommended this dog food! Now, all his health problems have magically disappeared! If you have a dog with health problems, you've got to get them on this food ASAP!!! June 1, 2012
Allergy prone and/or Sensitive tummies....TRY THIS!!! First of all I just wanna say..I LOVE THIS COMPANY! I always receive my items in about 2-3 days (without paying a rush fee!), they stand by their return policy and give you no trouble if a return/exchange is necessary and I even received a hand written Christmas card thanking me for my business....how many companies do that? As for Nutrisca Salmon/Chickpea...it's literally the only dog food my 7 month old frenchie can handle. We looked long and hard (5 months of cooking chicken and rice in between trying new foods) to find a dog food that would work. Orijen was my first choice, but it made him really sick. We even tried Blue Sensitive Puppy and that made him sick. This food seems to be great for allergies and super sensitive digestive systems...I would definitely recommend this dog food. So glad a neighbor put me on! January 20, 2013
Good stuff I have a resuced (Olde) English Bulldog with yeast issues, i.e., untreated chronic ear infections, to the point of hearing loss, obsessive paw-chewing, and a generalized odor that will knock your socks off. I've only had her three months now (she's almost 4), and was desperate to find something. I got Chewy.com from the Nzymes website and chose this food based on previous reviews to use in conjunction with other measures. Very pleased overall, but the price is difficult for me, so I have changed to NutriSource Lamb Meal (grain-free) and may switch back and forth between the two, funds permitting. December 15, 2012
Yeast infections gone!! My English Bulldog has always suffered from yeast infections. I was spending a lot of money for treatments at the vet, average 3 times/year. I changed to this food 2 years ago and his yeast infections are completely gone. It's potato free. I read an article that stated potatoes can cause yeast infections. I highly recommend this food. Love this food I have several dogs, a couple of which have issues with itching, so have tried many foods. With the Nutrisca the itching has virtually stopped. i switch between the Nutrisca salmon and the Nutrisca lamb formulas. The dogs all love it, have good stools, and don't scratch like they used to. Works for even the finickiest of constitutions Our rescued Great Dane pup (Tennyson) has a very, very tricky constitution - we even had to engage the services of a veterinary nutritionist to get him on track before considering trying a commercial food After a number of food trials, the Nutrisca Salmon formula has been the only commercial food that he has been able to tolerate We usually feed raw, but with Tennyson's issues, we have backed off of raw until we can get his GI processes in balance - this food is enabling us to do just that :-) September 4, 2012
Gave my dogs reflux This food gave both of my pointers reflux every night. It also did nothing helpful for my french bulldogs allergies. I am back to making her homemade food. August 12, 2013
