Dogswell Nutrisca Grain-Free Salmon Recipe Bites Freeze-Dried Dog Food

Nutrisca is one of the only grain-free recipes without potato or tapioca, which are high on the glycemic index and may contribute to weight gain. Instead, low glycemic chickpeas and peas are included as excellent sources of protein, fiber and folic acid. Low glycemic ingredients provide better digestibility for sustained energy. Nutrisca's balanced protein levels, antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables and chelated minerals provide optimum nutrition and palatability.

Terrific taste option for dogs who normally eat chicken or beef We love Nutrisca products. Our dogs eat Nutrisca kibble, and they occasionally get Nutrisca freeze-dried raw bites as treats. We usually give our dogs chicken or beef, mainly because one of them turns up her nose at anything fishy. However, she now loves the salmon bites even though at first she tried to ignore them. And when Ms. Picky likes salmon, you know it's gotta taste good! I really like how healthy these freeze-dried raw bites are for our pets. I recommend the salmon. February 6, 2013
MY DOG DIDN'T LIKE Okay, I agree our Shiba-Inu dog is very picky. I bought a variety of these freeze dried biscuits. She just won't eat them. Looks up at me like I'm crazy for even attempting to feed her with this. HA Maybe some dogs will like but not if you have a picky dog like mine. July 13, 2013
Crumbled to powder While product is still poured into a small bowl and gobbled down it is not convenient for the purpose purchased which is to be used as a dog treat in rewarding our dog. May 8, 2013
Picky eater loves the freeze dried salmon My dog is a picky eater and has terrible allergies to all sorts of things. He is on a grain-free, potato-free diet which really helps keep the hot spots and skin infections down. It's one thing to be grain-free, and it's another to be potato-free as well. In fact, my Charlie hasn't had a flare up since I switched him to potato-free foods (aka Nutrisca). He really loves this freeze-dried food and gets it as a supplement to his kibble and as occasional treats. In the past, he has had some stomach upset eating a straight raw diet (ZiwiPeak), so I haven't yet tried weaning him off of the Nutrisca kibble. This food doesn't look like traditional kibble. The texture and consistency is a lot like the freeze dried "astronaut" ice cream that I remember trying many years ago in grade school. But that's ok, because Charlie doesn't seem to mind it. I don't know if the company sends samples. I just gambled the ten bucks on a small bag. I have tried at least a dozen "premium" foods (probably more) throughout the years to find the one that actually helps Charlie's condition. $10 is by far the cheapest that I've spent, and it was well worth the cost. Highly recommended. April 1, 2014
The treat had all the right ingredients and made in the USA Unfortunately, I have to bribe my dogs to eat them. They are rather soft and crumbly. Not crunchy. And they get one whiff... off they go. Great idea. I just have bad dogs. October 21, 2013
