by ShibaMom2006 No Healing Properties Noticed
As a natural family with an organic lifestyle, I thought this product would work on my dog and be more convenient than making it myself. My Shiba Inu develops granulomas on her paws from excessive licking and I thought could get rid of them. When I first opened the product I noticed that it wasn't exactly a "cream". It's almost like it has too much shea butter and made it too hard. When I rub my fingers on it to apply it to my dog's paws, it comes out in clumps. I thought it was due to being shipped in the winter but the product has not softened. Not only is the product hard to use, but I don't notice and healing. When my dog doesn't lick the product off right away, I actually notice her granulomas to get irritated. This product might be better if warmed over a double broiler or something but right of the container it's useless.

This makes me feel good to have on hand. I like that it's organic and natural so if he licks it he won't get sick. I think it's nice for minor cuts and scrapes but honestly, it smells and probably tastes like chicken. My greyhound who would not eat your sandwich if you left it next to his bed caught this container and licked it like crazy. When I put it on him I have to distract him so he won't lick it off. It has too much of a meaty smell if you ask me. I wonder if it works but maybe it's more like neosporn.

Rated 4 out of 5 by ABuxton Great for Sores or Wounds
This cream works great on my cat's sores and wounds but not so great on hot spots. When I put it on one of his sores, it will be gone in the morning so awesome results there. It is not so effective on hot spots. Tried it several times on his hot spots and I never saw any positive results. While the description says it is a cream, it is actually a wax or balm. I would dig a good finger of it out and warm it up by rubbing it between my fingers before putting on him. In all great product!

Bought this for puncture wounds on my pup. Used warm water to flush out and then put a hefty finger full directly on the punctures. Within 3 days the punctures were almost completely healed. Definitely recommend.

Rated 3 out of 5 by Jrion101 Hard to apply, not good for skin abrasions
Good ingredients, but way, way too hard. I got this for my dog, who gets hot spots, but I can't really apply it. I tried to melt it on my skin first then rub it on her, but it's got so much wax that it doesn't melt. Because you'll be putting this on irritated or broken skin, you don't want to have to rub it in, as that will only irritate the skin more. This might be good for conditioning paws or something, but not good for skin infections.

Rated 2 out of 5 by Kim0030 Consistency of product makes it difficult to apply
I can't yet attest to how well this product works as I just recently began using it, however I am not a fan of the waxy, hard consistency. It has to be worked and warmed in the hands for quite a while before it is loose enough to apply to skin and even then it makes a mess of the dogs fur and doesn't seem to easily soak into the skin. I'm going to continue to give it a try because I love the fact it's natural, we will see what it does!

I used it on a rash my pup had on both sides of his stomach. The rash was completely gone in about 3 days.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Tervtales Nice conditioner
Honestly, I have gone through the little jar quickly. No way would this last for months! I warm it up which makes it nice for application. One of my dogs that weights 65lbs loves to run and play ball. He has a couple of places on his pads he has nicked and they are taking a long time to heal.
Since he has to use them to walk it is a very difficult area to heal quickly. I have wrapped his feet and done a variety of things to get his pads to heal.
I bought this product and continue to put it on his pads waiting for them to heal. It takes time and consistent conditioning. I know I have to be patient, but I do like this product as a conditioner.
