I initially bought this, at the Vet's recommendation, to feed to my very malnourished and underweight foster dog. She was about 15 -20 lbs too thin, missing most of her teeth, missing much of her fur and had very itchy skin. She is now almost fully covered in fur, putting on the weight as she should and her skin is looking good. She and my 2 other dogs (who get a bit of it, just because they're jealous) all just eat this up like it's candy. I especially like the fact that the first ingredient is lamb. It's good food for my precious dogs!

We feed this to one of our pets, a Husky. We feed him freeze dried 2x a week (all natural) and once a week he is allowed a canned food. This food he loves. Gobbles it down fast and even the cats flock to it so he has to protect his bowl. The ingredients are quality and the price is second to none. Dog food is expensive as it is so why pay too much. We recommend this.
The canned chicken version of this gave him diarrhea, but this one is perfect. Stool is fine.

I bought this because I am looking for a new food for my girlfriends dog. It's a Bichon Frise. She's about 5 years old and has bladder stones again. Before we have her put through another operation I want to get some better food for her. The vet put her on some expensive stuff for urinary tract infections and said it was the best to keep her from getting stones, but I see on the package it list SALT! Not to mention other garbage that can't be good for your dog.
So this food comes highly recommended by others on the net and I thought the ingredients looked great. I would have given it 5 stars but the little dog has the runs now. I think she just needs to get use to the canned food. Her other food was dry. That's another reason why I chose this. Why would the vet recommend dry food? The little dog needs lots of water to keep from getting the stones. IDK.
So far so good. I think she's doing very well. Only time will tell. Hope we don't need another operation on her. She's so small and cute I hate to see her unhappy (My girlfriend, not the dog).

The dogs are eating this canned food well and I'm overall pleased with my end results but I will say it was a bit disconcerting to have 3 cases of canned food arrive, sit out in NON-FREEZING weather all day at my home while I was at work and when I the case the cans were all sweating outside and the first two cans on day one and two were frozen on the inside. It had to travel across the US via UPS to get here through some nasty weather so I'm assuming that was why it was still frozen.

My two big dogs get a little wet food in their dry food breakfast every day, they can be picky and I can be picky about the ingredients. Evangers lamb and rice is excellent, they love it and I like the price and the quality ingredients; simple, affordable and apparently very tasty.

My newest rescue, a female pit mix, loves it. I like to feed a variety of canned food to go with their dry food. They like Evangers brand.
