Evanger's Grain-Free Pheasant Canned Dog & Cat Food
Cat does not like pheasant.
The cat food looks fine to me and Im sure someones kitty will like it, but not mine. But then again, mine also doesn't like sardines and some other types either. Can't blame the product.

It is hard to find any pet food with with such a short list of ingredients which is a definite plus in my book. My cat loves it! He also likes the chicken and rabbit versions as well.

My Siberian Husky LOVES this
I feed it mixed with a high quality kibble. Sandy is a bit of a picky eater, but she always consumes all of the pheasant mix.
It smells so good, I am often tempted to dig a fork into the can myself!

Not a very pleasant smell...
I did not like the smell of this food, and my kitty did not like this food at all. She smelled it and then would bury it... Did not even want to try it...

Excellent, my food allergy weim LOVES this
I have a food allergy prone 2 year old weimaraner. It's very hard to find him something that is 100% safe for him to eat. This is one of the few that he can have. And he just LOVES this! :-)

Not for cats
I have 2 cats and one loves the frozen raw pheasant. Thinking the can would be more convenient I purchased a case. Neither one would come near the food.

I have many rescue foster cats with food allergies, one Persian with IBD. She, in particular, is fussy about what she'll eat - if she doesn't like it, the dish sits there and she'll starve rather than eat it. This has been great because I can mix it in with other grain-free brands so she'll eat the food. Note that this food is not nutritionally complete - even the label says it's for mixing in. But because of the limited ingredients, and the meat choices you don't see in any other cat food brands (like rabbit, pheasant and buffalo) this is a great product. Excellent food, made in the USA.
It's worth noting that only the foster cats will eat this. My own four cats (3 of them are purebred British Shorthairs) will not touch it. So it doesn't help if it's wonderful food if your cats won't eat it. But if they do, you know they are getting good quality food. And it perks up their interest to mix this in instead of the same old food day after day.
