(we got this December 2013 and I'm just getting around to sharing my review)
I left the taste testing up to the kitties and I observed. Sorry, I have no interest in stealing or tasting cat and dog treats! Now I have to admit I was a bit skeptical on how these would work out because they’re appropriate for BOTH cats and dogs, not just either or like most typical treat/food products. Of course these cats have stolen our pet rat’s food as well so I guess they don’t necessarily discriminate against what food they eat either. Anyhow, the texture of these treats is kind of hard, but not so much as a dog bone, just harder compared to the typical cat treats we purchase. Also, they do appear like they’re more geared towards dogs. So initially seeing that I figured we’d be passing these along to my husbands parents since they have all the dogs at their house.
So I took out 4 treats, because all know if one comes they all come running, especially when it comes to food. They were all curious, sniffed away and it appeared like that would be it. Tiger and Lily, the two older cats, had no interest in the treats. They just wanted to see what everyone else was up to. In fact, they may have taken a lick, but hadn’t touched them at all since. Mouse and Houdini, the two youngest cats, of course started playing with the treats – grabbing and running, tossing them around, swatting at them, etc. So I figured those would be wasted as well. Rather than just picking the treats up though I tossed them in their make shift kitty box that Sophia made them (yes, they have little houses made out of cardboard boxes with little doors from my packages and the cats LOVE them). Well over the past couple days I watched as Mouse and Houdini both took turns going back and forth nibbling on the treats! They still played with them some, but they were actually eating them as well! I honestly did not expect that and am still surprised. Looking around my floor this morning, the 2 little pieces I had left out are gone, which I’m assuming they ate since the pieces had been getting smaller and smaller. I think we have a winner!
Obviously I definitely recommend this product. Our kittens loved them! They had fun playing with them then enjoyed eating them. The older ones simply didn’t care. Regardless I’m surprised to see a cat/kitten actually eat a product of that texture and liking since I’ve never seen it before. The best part is I know it works well for animals with sensitivities because Mouse is a walking gas machine at times (never knew cats could have so much gas either until these little ones!) and she hasn’t had any digestive issues or gas since eating these treats. Maybe it’s just a coincidence, but that’s what I’ve noticed. I highly recommend these; they’re Mouse and Houdini approved!

My cat LOVES these treats. I let one sit in warm water for about 3 minutes and he'll sit and gnaw on it til it's gone. I've actually caught him trying to paw open the cabinets where I store the containers. Highly recommended!

Was hoping to use for bait in ring when showing but was too hard. The dogs like it otherwise

My dogs love these! They are very crunchy but you have the option of soaking in water for a few to soften them up. I give them them to my little doxies as they can be broken into small pieces for them. They turn in circles when they see me with the container! Evangers does need to redesign these containers because they are awkward to open and close. A good natural treat.

Dogs like it, but it is very small and will not last very long, unless you have a very small dog.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Mekare High quality treats
These are literally limited to the description. They are not pulverized and stretched to maximize profits, with grains, starches and fillers. They are simply dried strips of meat. They are good for my dog. She likes them. They don't have a high stink factor, like some real meat treats. They have become part of the rotation of treats she gets every week.
