I brought this product for my giant Alaskan Malamute who is 125 pounds. This product works great by removing the undercoat and loose hair without damaging his top coat. He sheds all year long and blows his undercoat twice a year. By using this product you can't tell that he is even blowing his coat. I get so many compliments on his coat. Thank you!

If you've had a GSD you know that there are wafting hairballs across your hard floors and a constant coating on your carpets year round. Brushing does not work. So before I bought this expensive product I read all the reviews until I found a shepherd owner's. Thank you for that review because on that recommendation I bought this tool and am amazed. It totally gets the undercoat. I still have wafting hair, but they are honest, it is probably 10% or less! I bought the large for long hair.

This brush has some really cool features. First, it works really well at cleaning up shedding hair. Then, when it gets loaded up, just press the "Furejector" and the hair dumps into a garbage can. Clean and easy.
Now I need to buy the next size up.

We put off buying the FURminator because of the price but purchased other brushes and desheding tools instead. However after finally talking my husband into trying it he and I both wish we had bought it sooner and not tried others that worked ok but not nearly as good as the FURminator. We have an large Aussie with long thick hair and Spaniels with long thick fine hair and it works Great! We always get a big pile of hair after brushing so we have decided to brush them once a week and it takes no time at all since we started weekly. Yes, the first time might seem a little more difficult as some say but I believe it is because the fur had gotten so thick in the first place. After a few regular brushings the fur is easier to brush through. I do need to eject the fur often because the FUrminator gets so much out. It works very well and we will repurchase when ever this one gets dull because it saves me so much work in vacuuming and house cleaning since we started using it regularly. You may want to reward your dog with kibble or treats because if you haven't used this before and the fur is thick it may take some gentleness and patience on both your parts to get the fur to where it brushes more easily. Chewy.com has great prices!

Have a dog? Does the dog shed? Do you want to better control the shedding? If yes, get a FURminator deShedding Edge! Sure, it can be messy to use, which I find particularly true on my Shepard, but if you have access to the outdoors, let that fur fly! My dogs love it (even jockeying for their turn the Edge), and I love the results! No more Dog Hair Tumbleweeds!

Have 2 australian shepherds with medium long, wavy, coarse top coat and thick undercoat. I had hoped this would do a better job getting down to the undercoat and help control shedding but am disappointed it doesn't really do the job. The teeth are too close together to get through their coarse top coats.

The FURminator works great on our corgi. It gets all of the loose under coat out that seems to always be shedding.
