Hill's Prescription Diet c/d Canine Urinary Tract Health Canned Dog Food

Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in his or her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health. Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones.

Key Benefits

  • Reduced levels of protein, magnesium and phosphorus to help limit the building blocks of crystals and bladder stones
  • Low sodium to maintain normal blood pressure
  • Added antioxidants to control cell oxidation and promote a healthy immune system

c/d UTI Dog Food ... 1st off, Chewy.com as saved me LOTS of money since my Vet was going to charge me $0.50 more then this website! Gotta love 'um for that! I'm going to auto order this dog food instead of buying from our Vet. 2nd, My female Pug Dog has to start eating this dog food on a regular bases 'n is a VERY picky eater. I wasn't sure if she'd like the new can dog food, but she now scarfs it down in less then 2-3 minutes. Thank You Chewy.com! :-) January 18, 2014
Veterinary recommended. My doxie just had a second operation for kidney stones. We don't want her to go through this again, and when Doc recommended this product, we did not hesitate to order it for her. She likes it, it's good for her and we are happy. November 3, 2013
helps her avoid bladder stones Our dog had 4 bladder stones removed. This product is prescribed and helps her avoid those stones and the painful, frequent urination. November 2, 2013
Had to use this product when our dog had kidney stones Been using this product for the past 4 years. When our dog had surgery, our vet suggested using this product. July 13, 2014
Works great This works good with the CD dry food. My dog has not had a problem with kidney stones since being on this food. She has been on it for at least 7 years. July 3, 2014
Excellent product & service This food was prescribed by my dog's vet following a surgery for removal of bladder stones. My dog must be on this diet indefinitely. Previously, I fed her a combination of wet and dry food and so ordered both the canned and dry version of this food, both of which she loves! I chose to order from Chewy because the price was less than the price at my vet's office and less than the price for the same items at other on-line pet product stores. Local pet supply stores do not even carry this product. Plus, with my purchase, shipping was free! June 27, 2014
I have a very picky dog This is the first food she's ever eaten on a daily basis. Other foods, after 2 or 3 days she gets bored with and won't finish. We're on week two of the CD and she licks every bowl clean. So I thought I'd try some CD dry. Same thing......I can't leave it in the bowl....she eats every bit.......I'm so glad because my Vet says she needs this to clear up chrystals in the urine. Incidentally I was mixing cheese with her old food just to get her to eat it and the vet said THIS WAS VERY BAD FOR HER and may be what caused the problem....cheese is NOT good for dogs...who knew?
