Product Description

Bladder stones are collections of mineral crystals that combine together in the urinary tract. They can cause discomfort and lead to more serious problems that require the care of a veterinarian. Because the food your dog eats plays an important role in his or her overall health and well-being, Hill's nutritionists and veterinarians have developed clinical nutrition especially formulated to help support your dog's bladder health. Dogs need the right balance of minerals to maintain good bladder health. Excess minerals can encourage the formation of crystals in the urine, which can lead to the creation of bladder stones.

Key Benefits

  • Reduced levels of protein, magnesium and phosphorus to help limit the building blocks of crystals and bladder stones
  • Low sodium to maintain normal blood pressure
  • Added antioxidants to control cell oxidation and promote a healthy immune system
  • Made in the USA

Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.8 out of 5 by 51 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Veterinary recommended. My doxie just had a second operation for kidney stones. We don't want her to go through this again, and when Doc recommended this product, we did not hesitate to order it for her. She likes it, it's good for her and we are happy. November 3, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by helps her avoid bladder stones Our dog had 4 bladder stones removed. This product is prescribed and helps her avoid those stones and the painful, frequent urination. November 2, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Helps With pH Levels This food helps keep my dog's urine pH at normal levels, and she loves the taste. I do have to be careful with her intake, though, as the food is especially calorie dense. October 10, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by c/d UTI Dog Food ... 1st off, as saved me LOTS of money since my Vet was going to charge me $0.50 more then this website! Gotta love 'um for that! I'm going to auto order this dog food instead of buying from our Vet. 2nd, My female Pug Dog has to start eating this dog food on a regular bases 'n is a VERY picky eater. I wasn't sure if she'd like the new can dog food, but she now scarfs it down in less then 2-3 minutes. Thank You! :-) January 18, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Doctor recommended I think it works. My dog has not been having bladder stones ever since. I tried Royal Canine's Urinary SO (Regular and a weight management version), it made my dog gain so much weight. But C/D does not seem to affect the weight scale a lot. Staying healthy weight is a key for frequent UTI and bladder crystals. So I am keeping her on C/D ! August 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Does what it says My dog had bladder stones and was put in this food so avoid surgery. After six weeks on c/d urinary care his bladder stones were gone. Thanks science diet May 5, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by I have a very picky dog This is the first food she's ever eaten on a daily basis. Other foods, after 2 or 3 days she gets bored with and won't finish. We're on week two of the CD and she licks every bowl clean. So I thought I'd try some CD dry. Same thing......I can't leave it in the bowl....she eats every bit.......I'm so glad because my Vet says she needs this to clear up chrystals in the urine. Incidentally I was mixing cheese with her old food just to get her to eat it and the vet said THIS WAS VERY BAD FOR HER and may be what caused the problem....cheese is NOT good for dogs...who knew?
