Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by I'm a believer! Or should I say convert! READ!!!!! My physically fit 9 year old pup, to whom I fed NOTHING but the highest quality, all natural, stellar ingredient dry dog food for the past 6 years, developed a raging pancreatitis problem a few months ago along with maldigestion. My boy has always had stomach issues here and there throughout his life, but this time, it was life threatening. I will spare you the details of the accidents, weight loss, tests etc. My vet, who knows how picky I am when it comes to dog food, and has been a huge supporter of me in my food choices, recommended this product and pretty much told me I was out of food options (taking into consideration I don't have the time or energy to cook food for him) and that he needed this to actually survive. So I tried it. I figured he is 9, and I just want him to be comfortable in his golden years. All I can say is WOWOWOWOW! After a little more than a week, this dog thinks he's a puppy! He LOVES this food, his stools are perfect, he has put back on all the weight he lost, and he is romping in the yard! Nothing says he'll be on this forever, but I have to tell ya, if he continues like this, he will be. Suggestion: if YOUR dog has stomach problems, and you are asked by your vet to try it, I BEG you to try it. Don't read blogs, message boards or anything else online because you will read a lot of hate for this food. No, the ingredients aren't what I am used to, and it's what many natural'ers call death food, but please, remember that those same people don't know your dog or how serious his/her condition is. This food literally saved my dog's life and that's NOT an exaggeration. Oh, and of course, but it from CHEWY.com!! June 3, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fur and tummy My dog started this dog food when a neighbors dog had it prescribed for pancreatitis and as a side effect grew a fabulous coat where he had been pretty scruffy. I was amazed so I tried it and it not only helped with occasional tummy issues, but within a year my dog with severe canine allopecia, fur issues, grew an amazing coat. My friend with a dig with fur issues and within a year of feeding nothing else, a fabulous coat....who knew??? I am convinced! March 19, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Working Very Well The vet recommended putting our 10 year old dog on this food as he was having diarrhea problems. It seems to have worked and he eats it plain without added "people" food- all the better to help his sensitive stomach. we will keep him on it for 3-4 months and then re-evaluate. March 4, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Perfect food for my sick dog I have a dog that is prone to pancreatitis and this is the only food that goes in his belly. I am thankful that Chewy sells it a little cheaper in bulk. Thanks Chewy for all you do! May 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Dog's Diarrhea Resolved Our dog was having loose, to worse, bowel movements. The Vet suggested about $450 of tests and Hill's i/d dry food. We decided to hold off on the tests and try the food. It worked great, however it is quite expensive to buy from the Vet. We saved money purchasing it from Chewy, and the delivery was prompt. Rated 5 out of 5 by Product was prescribed by vet Excellent service and great price. Will order this and other products in the future. Thank you! July 28, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This product is great! Our 12 year old GSD has had digestive issues when fed dry food. We have been feeding her the Hill's Prescription diet canned chicken stew, which she loves, but she seemed to miss having the dry food. We decided to try this product and so far she's doing very well on it. May 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by It does work I hate paying for this! Its priced way to high and a look at the ingredients indicate its low quality with corn etc..BUT we have a dog with major stomach issues and irritable bowel disease and once i listened to my vet and got this and have now kept here on it since 4 months she is doing much better! Have only had one slight incident in that time as opposed to once every couple of weeks. I would recommend it IF you really need it. If your dog can flourish with another brand with quality ingredients for stomach sensetivity then i would go with that route. The minuses are her poo and booty smell terrible and her coat is dull the plus side is shes not throwing up or having diarrhea any more. April 25, 2016
