Rated 5 out of 5 by PrincessShelli Great food for a little digestive system! Our dog is a chihuahua/terrier mix with a fairly temperamental system. We originally had him on Science Diet Little Bites Light, but we had to add pumpkin puree to his food (2TB at each meal) so he would get enough fiber to avoid frequent vet visits to get his glands expressed. He did well, but we felt that he wasn't doing his best. After a short stint with another food, we switched to Science Diet Adult Small and Toy Breed Light and it's the perfect formula for him. We don't need to add pumpkin for him to get enough fiber, his weight is stable (before putting him on light food, he got a little too heavy for our vet's taste) and he loves it. Definitely glad we gave Science Diet another shot! October 4, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by JackM My Sammy Loves it. Hill's Science Diet Adult Small & Toy Breed Light Dry Dog Food is one of the few foods Sammy will eat most any time of the day. It does NOT give him "runny Bowel movements" like some foods do. They always smell fresh and appetizing even to me. (I haven't tried tasting one of the Kibbles yet though.) Rated 5 out of 5 by Tess68 Good size bits for smaller dogs I bought this for my son's dog, a miniature Doberman Pinscher. He reports that she loves it. I am pleased to have found this one from a good brand of pet food. I would recommend it highly. She is pretty picky. May 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by DebBob keeps my dogs healthy I actually ordered the "light " version by accident, but the dogs like it fine & they could stand to have less calories. I have a 9 mo old French Bulldog and a 70 lb 16 yr old mix and they both eat it. I trust Science Diet from past experience w very healthy dogs. February 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2smalldogmom My two Havanese Love Hills Small Breed light The vet recommended a light dog food for my two one year Havanese pups. One needed it and the other did not. I changed them over from the Hills for adult small dogs to the light formula. They really didn't notice a difference. They both eat it willingly and have never had issues with it. I like it because it is veterinarian approved and costs somewhat less than other high end dog food. I highly recommend this food to your small breed dog. January 17, 2015
