Iams Veterinary Formula Intestinal Plus Low-Residue Canned Dog Food, 14-oz, case of 12

Loose stools can have many causes. Although the problem can be caused by something more serious, your veterinarian can explain how dogs and cats can develop loose stools from something as simple as heat, exercise, diet, or stress from boarding.

In 3 days, you can start to soothe your pet's digestive sensitivities. Iams Veterinary Formulas Intestinal - Low-Residue works by providing a unique blend of high-quality fiber, protein, and fat sources to help naturally strengthen the intestine and make digestion easier. In a clinical study, dogs with stress-related loose stools were fed Intestinal - Low-Residue. Overall, they showed:

  • noticeable improvement (some firming) after 3 days
  • fewer daily episodes of loose stools after 1 week

My Doodle loves this food! After feeding my dog a high quality dry dog food mixed with a large spoonful of wet dog food (also high quality) for 10 years...she developed a gastro-intestinal problem and her vet recommended Iams and it has been a godsend! No more loose stools! Since I can't buy this food just anywhere I discovered and I'm having it automatically delivered every 3 months...very convenient! It arrives right on time. I also might ad that my labradoodle LOVES this food! August 5, 2014
Highly recommend! Miracle food! After our 2 year old female boxer ended up with pancreatitis, our vet suggested this food. Not only is she eating like never before, her appearance and stamina has greatly improved! If you are having problems with your young dog vomitting occasionally ask your vet about this food! I wish we would have know about it sooner! May 31, 2013
Great for dogs with intestinal problems My older dog has had significant intestinal problems since she was a puppy that caused frequent vomiting, diarrhea and a reluctance to eat. The vets had difficultly diagnosing the cause, we tried a number of medications & products that weren't working and were looking at possible exploratory surgery when we tried an over-the-counter medication combined with Iams Low Residue food. In a short time she began eating regularly and her vomiting and diarrhea were cut down dramatically. She is now 13, has been on this regimen for most of that time and thankfully is still going strong. She's still a finicky eater but we mix a little canned Iams with water and use it like a gravy for the dry Iams and she loves it. September 18, 2013
This food works very good My dog had an operation and they fed her this. I was worried that she would get diarrhea, but this food was fantastic, like nothing happened. I have switched her to IAMS Intestinal Plus, and plan on getting my other dog on this too. I would recommend this food. I am going to try the hard food Intestinal Plus as well. August 27, 2014
Great food for my dogs. This food was recommended by my vet. The dog food I was using previously was causing problems with two of my dogs stomachs. After only 1 day I noticed a complete change in the number of times the dogs needed to be let out. Their systems have calmed down and they are much more comfortable. It is a great product. makes it easy to get this food and it is cheaper than my vet. Thanks Chewy. August 26, 2014
Amazing It's just amazing how much of a difference this makes to a dog with a bad tummy. Made a world of difference to our senior lady. And as bad as it is to be on the clean-up side of things, I have to imagine it is much worse on the fur-kid that is sick. August 21, 2014
Another relief Our pup had several types of parasites which caused diarrhea. We switched her to Iams low residue dry food but needed something for her constant biting/chewing. The low residue canned food works really well. We stuff it into her kong bone and then freeze it. She keeps herself busy for long periods and the food doesn't upset her stomach. We saved a lot by buying a case from Chewy rather than per can from the vet. August 18, 2014
intestinal problems resolved Adopted 5 yo standard poodle April 3. Frustrated and concerned about his stomach problems. Poor dog felt sick all that time - was not eating many days, loud stomach gurgling. Occasional diarrhea. Slept & laid around. I felt so sorry for him. I have $300 worth of various dog foods in my garage. I tried everything others recommended. Nothing helped. Vet recommended this food a month ago. I was not enthusiastic about Iams because of not so good reviews. However I tried it b/c I trust my vet. It was a miracle food for my dog. He licks the bowl clean. He has lots of energy, coat looks good. I tried to add in just 1 tbsp LID food one day last week. Next day he did not eat all day. I think he will be on this food for the rest of his life. Glad to read here that dogs have done well on this food for many years. August 18, 2014
