K9 Advantix II Flea Treatment for Dogs 11-20 lbs
My dog had fleas for the first time. I at first bought Frontline Tritak from my vet as he sold only Frontline products. That did not work at all. Thereafter I bought a product from one of the warehouse stores and that did nothing. I used bombs in the house and still had fleas. Thereafter I went to a local pet store and purchased a flea spray for the house (which was supposed to work for 7 months) as well as a flea shampoo for my dog. The sales person recommended Advantix which I had always used before but since I had just used Frontline about 10 days earlier, I did not want to put anything else on my dog at that time. Their price, however, was much higher than Chewy's price. I received my order very quickly from Chewy and the results were amazing. I will only buy Advantix from now on and, of course, with Chewy's good price and efficient service will continue to use them.

Truly does the job
I have always used K9 Advantix and found it lives up to it's claims. The more so lately, I have to Dachshunds, my sister has 3 Newfies and a black lab and we live in Eastern Maine. The ticks have been especially bad this year as our winter was mild. The woods animals like deer, moose, etc, have been driven mad by them and the local game wardens tell us that the ticks are just black on the animals. So far this summer I have not found a single tick or flea on either of the dogs or on my cat as well. They run around our property and play in the tall grass and I am confident that they will not be bothered by bloodsuckers.

I have found this product to be far superior to Frontline. It's not 100% in either keeping ticks totally off my dog, or killing them before they attach AND engorge, but its close enough and probably the best you can expect. It does seem like a fair number of ticks don't want to stay on my dog very long, and those that do manage to attach die and shrivel up before they can do any damage. Even though it's applied to the back, I do find success regarding ticks that have attached on the belly and leg areas. Again, it is not 100%, so you still must inspect your pet manually, especially after you've been out where ticks exist. I don't have a flea problem, so I can't comment. Maybe that's WHY I don't have a problem? It's working and I'm not even aware of it like I am the ticks??
