Rated 5 out of 5Â by 9274 Kong Toys are well made and trust worthy!
I have used the red kong for my current moderate chewing dogs and the black very durable kong for strong chewing dogs. I like kong because I can stuff it with kibble and peanut butter mixed together and know they are not going to get hurt or choke on anything. I need a toy like this in my life because all other toys I supervise like a hawk and remove when I am not there watching them. I can give them this once I know their chewing habits and what strength kong to let them have and feel I can leave the room or even the home if I am sure they won't tear it up. That being said I have never had this classic kong toy let me down but do not leave your dog unattended with this toy until you are 100% sure it can't tear it up. I had a terrible scare years ago with a toy of another brand and thankfully we got it out but I learned a valuable lesson that no toy is completely indestructible. I also baby sat a friend's dog who loved to play fetch and was too destructive for tennis balls but I could throw his black kong all day long and he loved fetching it endlessly. These really can be a life saver toy for your dog and mental stimulation if stuffed with good things. Chewy.com has the best prices.

Rated 5 out of 5Â by Traudel Best toy ever
My dogs love this toy, it keeps them entertained for long periods of time. It does not show any teeth marks at all and does not wear out at all. No sharp edges like on bones after chewing. Best toy ever + chewy.com has best price ( half the price than at pet stores )

Rated 4 out of 5Â by PugaMomNY Does the job
I had gotten the small bone shaped ones for my pugs and they hated them. I got the large kong shape for my doberman and she LOVES it!
In retrospect I should have gotten them all this one, I also should have gotten the dobie an extra large. I might order a bigger one for her soon. The large does the job and she does enjoy it but I feel like it's a little too small for her and she can't lick out all of her kong treat.

My ten month Golden has had it since she was 6 weeks old! She occasionally chewed on it without stuff in it because she liked the bounce and softness ( don't worry, it's still durable) Now we stuff her kibble and a teaspoon of PB on top, and she loves it. The only issue is we ordered to small of one and we can't fit a whole cup of kibble in it...time for a bigger one!!

Rated 4 out of 5Â by Lorraine I was never a fan of Kong, until now...
I had heard stories about dogs getting their tongues caught in the Kong and never really wanted to try them for my dogs. Then my son and daughter-in-law got a golden retriever puppy and their first thing on their list was the Kong in assorted sizes as he grew. They fed him in his first few months with only the Kong. He's the best puppy ever; now 6 months old. So, I bought one for each of my dogs (one is 15 years and the other is 10 years), I put peanut butter in the Kong with some kibble and they are entertained and happy! Great product. Wish I had bought them sooner!

These things really are a classic. I reccommend buying the correct size for your pet though. You want it to be big enough that they cant swallow it but not too big that its overly easy for them to get the treats out of the center. I currently have 5 of these things in my freezer with all kinds of different concoctions of treats frozen inside of them. Google "KONG recipes" to get some fun ideas to keep your dog entertained.

My lab puppy will give me at least 15 mins. While he chews on this. He loves it and he isn't chewing on anything he isn't suppose to with this. THANK YOU!!

by Anna23606 Great product/toy for all dogs
Kong's Classic Dog toy was one of the first toys that I purchased for my GSD puppy (who is now 2 years old). I have graduated up to the XXLarge size. He loves to play catch and also to chew on it (especially if I fill it with peanut butter or other treats). The ball bounces on the ground in an unpredictable way so it's a challenge and interesting for the dog. I especially like the Kong with tails for playing tug. These toys are practically indestructible even for heavy chewers.
