KONG Extreme Goodie Bone Dog Toy
Longest Lasting Toy In Our House
We have two red and one black, all of them have been in use for a year or longer. These are the only toys that have made it through our american bulldog's puppydom. We use them daily to stuff treats to keep our dogs occupied when we leave. They've survived two dogue de bordeaux and two american bulldogs.
If you've had one where a piece came off quickly, I'd think it must've been a defective product. Our bones have been put through the gauntlet and are still in tact.

Great for power chewers
My 2-1/2 year old Lab is a power chewer who, as a puppy, caused thousands of dollars' worth of damage (cell phones, power cords, rugs...). I have bought practically every chew toy made, and this is the ONLY one that her Teeth of Steel have not destroyed within 5 minutes. These (the black Kong Extreme) last at least 6 months, which is nothing short of a miracle with Jaws The Dog. Eventually, the rubber starts to dry out at the ends and may break off (that hasn't happened because I keep a careful eye on them and throw them away if it looks as if they're disintegrating). My dog not only likes it for dispensing treats, but she tosses it in the air and retrieves it for fun.

This product is not good for chewers
This bone lasted 5 minutes for my Labrador. She likes to chew but a chunk came off near the opening on the end. I would not recommend this chew toy to anyone for their pet.

This is great for dogs with strong jaws, like my Pit. She loves it

Great bone for tug and a great chew toy!
Really good product when i first gave it to my dog she chewed on it for like two hours and i hadn't even put treats in it. Very tough but soft enough that my dog still really likes to chew it. And big enough to play tug with.

not for an aggressive chewer
perhaps i got the wrong size. i got med/large. my dog weighs about 75 lbs. a retriever. it was great with treats and then she started just chewing it. i wasn't worried til i saw pieces of it on the floor. she managed to chew one end off in about 15 min. i can't find any chew toy that she can't ruin. may they all RIP. if you don't have a chewer like i do, the bone will be great.

Lasted 15 minutes?
This is supposed to be for powerful chewers. My lab mix had the ends shredded in less than 20 minutes. These toys are not cheap, and I expected it to last at least a few weeks if made out of the "ultra-tough KONG Extreme black rubber."

Great for active chewers
The black colored collection from Kong is ideal for hard active chewers. I also like that it is made domestically.
