KONG Squeezz Stick Dog Toy 4.2 5 13 13
Tough but not tough enough! We have a 2-year-old Alaskan Husky mix that is a serious chewer. Unfortunately, this Kong toy couldn't handle it. Dakota broke the squeaker within minutes of getting the toy. 5 hours later, he had chewed end pieces off. Although it is a Kong toy, it is not made from the same durable rubber as the classic rubber toys. If your dog isn't a serious chewer, then this toy would be great. I would still recommend it to people as it is a good quality toy. February 16, 2013
Depends on the dog, I guess This seemed so promising! I have a lab/shepherd mix who loves squeaky toys, and a beagle and a pit bull who chew toys up. I thought since this was by Kong, it would be able to withstand at least some abuse, and my mix loved it - until my SENIOR BEAGLE chewed it for a little while and the squeaker was dead. Seemed like the toy was awfully easy to 'kill' for something that was supposed to be more sturdy - it lasted one day. :( January 20, 2013
Not Bad This toy is made of 2 tubes (on inside of the other)& then sealed together in a way that makes it squeak. My 60 lb. pit mix was able to crack the end in about 30 minutes & stop the squeaking. She's not picky though & does continue to play with it, even now that enough pieces are missing for it to be 2 completely separate tubes. She is able to break pieces off (even though she spits them out) so I wouldn't recommend to anyone who's dog is a strong chewer & known for eating toys. March 30, 2014
Squeaky, and actually lasts! This is the second KONG Squeezz Stick I've gotten for my pit. She LOVES all of the KONG Squeezz toys, and I love them be cause they actually last! The only reason I'm having to get a second one, is because I gave the first one to my parent's dog ... she seemed to love it too. My dog loves to play fetch, and this stick is great for that! She usually destroys squeaky toys after about an hour or so, but all of the KONG Squeezz toys seem to last. I don't know if its the type of plastic ... whatever it is, it works! January 11, 2014
Love This This is a great chew toy. I would recommend this one for any of those crazy chewers. Love the size and strength of this stick December 25, 2013
Every dog I know loves this toy! I bought my first Kong Squeeze toy for the dogs at the shelter. When I saw how everyone of them chose it over the others, I bought it for my dog. Huge success! December 16, 2013
Best and most durable toy for dogs. Period. My dogs LOVE these squeezz sticks. It's the only toy they can't destroy. The squeakers still squeak after months of playing with them. They can sit there and gnaw on the toy and it doesn't disintegrate yet the toy is rubbery and chewy for them which they seem to like. Since the toys are shaped like sticks, it's easy for them for them to fetch and carry around with them in their mouths. This is the only toy I will buy my dogs now as they last forever. They have 4 of them, one of which is still around after a year. December 10, 2013
Not good for strong chewers I have a couple of rottweilers and a Lab, all of who are strong chewers, and this toy lasted maybe 5 minutes before they had big chunks bitten out of it. It would probably be OK for a puppy or maybe a dog that isn't a strong chewer, but if you have a large breed dog who loves to go to town on his chew toys, you should try something else.
