I would highly recommend this food. I have three dogs a boxer, German Shepard, and a blk Labrador. They all love this food. My boxer had bad food allergies and skin issue, all better now. My ONLY COMPLAINT they need to make 40-50 lb bags!

According to my Mal-Shi, this is the best food ever. He waits patiently until he gets it and then he devours it. I love the way his eyes lights up when it's time to feed.
I switched from Evangers Grain Free Meat Lover's Medley with Rabbit Dry Dog Food. I switched because Evangers was found by the FDA to have adulterated and misbranded dog foods.

Rated 5 out of 5 by JCooper Great food for my "Olde English Bulldogge"
I adopted a 6yo OEB earlier this year. He was on Pedigree dry dog food and his boop was so soft and squishy that you could hardly pick it up with the boop bag, and it was stinky and he had bad gas. I switched to Royal Canin Bulldog right away and his boop got a little less squishy but still very stinky although he had less gassiness. I read about grain-free dog foods and switched him to Fromm brand. His boop got a little more firm, but was still soft and stinky, although the gas problem stopped. I ran across PetFoodAdvisor and saw that Fromm grain free was a 4-star food and decided to switch to Merrick grain free, which was 5-star food, which is the highest rating. Almost immediately his boop got good and firm, smaller and with little odor. I can now use regular sized boop bags instead of the extra large ones I was using for the softer, squishy boop. I used the Royal Canin for 6 weeks and the Fromm for 8 weeks, so I feel like I gave them plenty of time to work. I have now been feeding Merrick grain free for 6 weeks and I have had to cut back on the recommended amount to feed because he was gaining weight. I believe he is getting better nourishment and using more of the food and therefore leaving less waste. Also, the kibble is larger which makes it easier for a large dog #80lb# with an under-bite to pick up. Royal Canin Bulldog kibble is the perfect size, but Fromm kibble is very small round balls, smaller than peas. It is more expensive but you get a healthier dog and it will probably be less expensive in the long run.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nature The best food for my best friend
Let me start by saying that I ordered this dog food online on Sunday afternoon and had it delivered to my front door by Tuesday afternoon. Two days! On with the food now. I have been blessed to live with a magnificent male german shepherd. He is 6 1/2 years old. Mainly his diet was a breed specific dog food. Then after a couple of years it was just not working for him. I did some mild research and found this great food, Merrick grain free Buffalo and sweet potato. In the past, my best friend did not take kindly to anything that had sweet potatoes in the recipe. I put some of this Merricck's grain free food in his bowl, along with a splash of wild alaskan salmon oil and immediately, he ate 3/4 of the bowl of food! My best friend's skin has been dry lately and for the first time, last night, he was not munching at his skin because of itchiness. On Chewy.com this food was $20 cheaper than any store in my driving area that sells the food. Free shipping, two days at my door, no itching from my doggie, great taste, great ingredients, happy dog. A no brainer! I highly recommend this food for your dog if he/she is your best friend. Nothing is too good for my boy.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Goldens Best food for my dogs!
Merrick food is top quality. The grain free is wonderful for my dogs sensitive stomachs. I am extremely happy with this food. It came highly recommended by the breeder we bought our dog from. It is what she feeds her dogs too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lisa08 Good Food, But Be Sensible
This is a great line of foods by Merrick. It has a high meat content of quality meats. The dogs are enthusiastic about eating it, coats look good, poops are small, no doggie odor, and all for a good price!
What I would be concerned about is making sure your dog is acclimated to a high protein diet before choosing a food such as this. My own experience with dogs is that there are the canine guts of "stainless steal", the "Normal" gut, and the "sensitive" gut. For the latter two, this food can be too much at first. I would acclimate them through a different grain-free brand, lesser protein, lesser fat, before working up to this level. Otherwise, great food!

My dogs were previously on a raw diet and then a different dry food before changing to this one and I have found that their excrement is more consistant and smaller than on the previous food. This has been a great food for them.

I changed to Merrick this month. I wanted a dog food with great nutrition and at a great price. I have 3 beloved dogs who deserve the best. The first time I gave Merrick to my dogs they all loved it. I have to say they will eat most anything I give them BUT THE BIG BUT is that my oldest male dog left his dog food to come over to me and give me HIS HAPPIEST BARK and then quickly went to finish his meal. This has never happened before. It was so very cool. Love my dogs and we all love this food. Thank you Chewy.com each one of you are the best.
