Perfect size for my Great Danes. Front and side doors are very convenient. Not an easy-up. Need another person to help. My smaller crates are basically fold up/snap in place.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Winsche628 perfect for my great dane
I looked for a long time and $179-180 is the cheapest I have found a crate this size. Our great dane "puppy" is 80lbs now and has plenty of room to grow. I wish we would have saved our money and bought a crate of this size when we first got him, because at only 23 weeks old he can't use anything smaller. The tray is very easy to clean, and the product is sturdy enough to last us a long time.

Overall, this is a great cage and a great value. It's big enough for our Saint Bernard, to flop down in and snooze, while having a tall enough door that even when fully grown, he'll be able to enter and exit without crouching down. The tray (which several other brands do not include) is durable and easy to wash; an important detail for giant breed puppies! Crate is (as advertised) sturdy and tall enough for giant breeds. It is well-constructed, with a solid anti-rust coating and easily-operated locks. If your dog is a mammoth size, this is the crate for you!

by kkezir Cheapest I could find :)
We have a Dane puppy that was quickly out growing its transitional crate. I tried to find a used crate but by the time I added up the cost of gas, time, travel and cost of crate, it was going to be cheaper to order it from chewy.com It arrived when expected. I was able to put it up by myself in 35min. Out 4mon old Dane puppy loves it!!! The 4mon old Dane, 7yr old and 9yr old can all fit in. :)

by DeniseW Well worth the investment!
Our cat, Grace was hit by a car and fractured her pelvis. We needed a crate large enough to allow our cat to move around and still keep her safe during the healing process of 6-8weeks. This crate not only fit the bill but allowed us the added perk of actually climbing in and spending time with her! While the box was extremely heavy and horribly beat up, the crate and tray(now a hard plastic) arrived in perfect undamaged condition. It is solid, sturdy and secure. The bars are solid and fit properly together with easy assembly (aside from the bulky size to work with). I love the double door option allowing a variety of optional placements and access entry. While we purchased this for a cat safety situation, I would be confident in purchasing it for a dog as well. The only minor critique I would have it that the top is connected to the sides in a way where you cannot push the top up but does not clip so that the top cannot crush down. While it is sturdy and solid I did find that an odd bit of construction.
Customer service with Chewy.com was more than competent and accommodating. Not only was I pleased with the product, and fast shipping but also and most importantly with the quality of overall service the company provided in assisting me in choosing the correct product with peace of mind.

Rated 3 out of 5 by 1BigDog Good crate but.......
I bought two of these crates for my new Dane rescues.
Pros: They are so big. The Danes have plenty of room to maneuver around in them. Well made and a great price, which made the cons worth it. I was also able to assemble it myself in 45 minutes.
Cons: Boxes are extremely unwieldy. They are very large and items are not packed well. Boxes also arrived looking like they were dragged all over the place. Corners were worn off and some of the metal crate ends had scrape marks from the exposure. And like some of the other posts, some of the loops were bent out of shape. A sturdier box with better corner reinforcement would help. Instructions could be improved as well. I assembled plenty of stuff over the years so I can pretty much muddle through almost anything. I gave it only 3 stars because of the packaging, which resulted in some minor, cosmetic damage to some of the crate parts, otherwise I would have given the product itself 5 stars.
Tips: Have patience when unpacking and separating the pieces. Some lock onto another piece so you need to be gentle when you work them loose. Many of the loops are also bent out of shape and need to be straightened out before assembly. Dont force them as they can break. I used a large pair of pliers and a light hammer to re-shape them. You need a large area to assemble this size crate. I hooked the side pieces on one at a time and propped each piece with a stool instead of using a second set of hands for the base and sides. Once you get one end on it you are home free. Once assembled I used black zip/cable ties to tie it all together. It makes for a much sturdier build. I put the ties through the loops to keep them from pulling apart.

Rated 4 out of 5 by thistle67 BIG!!
We were debating whether to buy another XL for our 3yr old GS as his younger 'sis', a white GS had inherited his XL crate. This one is much, much larger. Our whole family can fit inside! It was semi-easy to put together,... with another person; directions lacked but it was well worth it. Something to consider if you are on the fence; your dog may have surgery and have to be sequestered, planned pregnancies need ample space, and anything else that may occur. Our black n tan, a totally well behaved boy in any situation looks so small in it and I feel less guilty locking him up.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Irish2 Perfect our two Irish Setters to share
I purchased this crate because our Irish Setter Babies were getting to big for the double crate we were using. They had got too tall and need more room to stretch out.
This crate was a little difficult to put together but with the help of a very smart daughter who can put together anything she had it together in 10 minutes.
It is very sturdy and is very well worth the money. Prior to buying this crate I read the reviews and all were good with the exception of maybe 2 people who had a Pit Bull who ate their way out. Before I order I had to conclude that Pit Bulls will eat their way out of anything.
My Puppies love this extra large crate and they'd never try to make their way out. They love it like a new apartment.
