Rated 4 out of 5 by Good product but makes your dog poop A LOT I rescued an 8 year old shiba inu. he is about 20 lbs overweight and I have been trying everything possible to help him get his weight off. I found this and got it. He really enjoys the taste and I feel like he has lost some weight. It has been a while like others say your dog isn't going to loose weight overnight but with reasonable amount of exercise and feeding them the recommended amount you will see a difference. The only con about this food is my dog is ALWAYS pooping. He used to only poop once a day he now poops 3-6 times a day. It is pretty insane. He is also very gassing and is always farting. Rated 5 out of 5 by Finally found a dry food that my dog loves and that is good for him. My dog is overweight and I couldn't find a food that he would eat that would help him lose weight. I think this is the one!! He loves it, now let's see if he can lose a few pounds. May 22, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fat Dog I was completely surprised (and impressed) to get a delivery on Sunday am. The dog food was fresh and came promptly and at a good price. Thanks. May 19, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great dietary product! The fiber content of "Natural Balance" for fat dogs has significantly changed Dude's bowel movements, their easier, softer, and he goes more often! Dude has slendered down a bit after being on it for about three weeks. I feed him once a day, approximately three cups mixed with a little warm water, and I add a little poultry, cooked ham, or beef/ deer meat, as a little treat. He dives in with no hesitation. As a special treat, he may get a cup of the dry food before turning in for the night. Also, I found his coat to be softer and well as him having more energy. Dude takes four or five walks a day, too, which includes a long one. You wouldn't know he's seven years old! April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by the LOWEST calorie & of good quailty kibble = 5* So glad I found a good quailty food that only has 250 Kcals/Cup. Myu dog likes it but somedays he doesn't want to finish his serving...Ziggy/Beagle ALWAYS! finifhes his food and scans everyones bowl to make sure its all gone. I am still trying to figure out if he doesn't care for this formula OR if the food is actually making him full & he just cant finish. No weight loss recorded yet, its not quit 2 weeks yet. What he doesnt finish from his bowl, he happily takes from a treat bag/as cookie rewards and loves taking them. I do recommend this food if you also have a fat dog too. Ziggy should weigh approx. 25 pounds and he was 35 at his last weight check. BAD ME! Always falling for those "please" eyes when I am eating. NO more. I use a portion of his measured meal in a treat bag & keep it nearby me when I am eating my own meals. ~Ramona & Ziggy :)) March 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by If your doggie is FAT like mine was, you need this! Last summer, my 5 year old shi-tzu/malamute mix started gaining weight and became very sluggish. Blood work revealed low thyroid. Medicine perked her right up, but the weight had to go! I searched the internet for the dog food with the fewest calories and put her on Natural Balance Fat Dogs dry food. I also mixed just a tablespoon of their Reduced Calorie canned food in with her evening serving (cause she loves it!) She also loves Milk Bone biscuits, but the snacks had to be cut back, so I break one small Milk bone up into 4 pieces. She is only getting one biscuit all day, but she thinks its 4! And I made sure we took a healthy walk every single night. 6 months later, she was down from 29.5 pounds to 22 pounds. She is holding steady at 22 (just right, I think, for her "larger than the average shi-tzu" build) and has more energy than she had even as a puppy. I tell everyone who says their dog is overweight about this food. So, if your doggie is FAT, you should try this! Its not magic, your dog is not going to get skinny overnight, but, just like with people, if you stick to a good diet plan and throw in some exercise, the weight WILL come off. March 15, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by I think it's working I have two fat beagles. I think this food is working. ::fingers crossed:: April 26, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Product has many good features The flavor profile, the size of the kibbles all contribute to a good product. Now I'm waiting to see if it actually works as described. Dog seems to enjoy its flavor, she thinks they are actually treats and not food. The ultimate test is to see if it actually works in helping the dog drop a few pounds.so far I cannot say if it is working, she just started eating it a few days ago, one thing for sure, she loves the flavor, I would recommend this product based on this observation alone.
