Rated 5 out of 5 by Getzel My vet recommends it and my dog likes the food.
My vet recommended the Natural Balance brand Dog Food. I first started with the Chicken and Sweet Potato blend which didn't agree her. I was thinking about switching to another brand when the man at the pet store suggested before doing that I should try the duck and potato mix which he found that most dogs with food sensitivities tolerate well. He also mentioned that allot dogs have difficulty with chicken. He was right it the chicken was the problem and the new mix worked out well. FYI I called natural balance and told then about the issue's I had with the chicken based food which I had to discard because the dog couldn't tolerate and since I had taken it out of its original bad and put in a large airtight plastic container I wasn't able to return it at the store. The send me a coupon for a free bag of food any size and a couple smaller coupons. They were very nice and the coupons arrived in just a few days. Again, as far as the duck and potato mix seems to work out well.

We have a Irish Terrier that we rescued. She had some scratching and chewing herself issues we were not sure if it was nerves or allergies. So we sought out grain free food which has been wonderful for her. She now has fur growing on her paws again and does not do much scratching anymore.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amers My dogs love it!
My Lhaso and Cavalier love this so much they sit by their bowl until I feed them and they never cared about feeding time before. I am especially pleased that for a L.I.D. that there is no odor as fish and potato dog food makes their breath horrible. This is my first bag so I will have to wait to judge whether it's working on their allergies.

Rated 3 out of 5 by jsbogie bought for my collie who was itching like crazy
We own a Collie/Sheltie mix and a Boston Terrier and they were both suffering with a very bad case of food allerigies. We had tried just about every different high end dog food out there. Came upon this type and they still itch but not as much. Their coats shine and they look so healthy. They were shiney and healthy looking before just very itchy and they were constantly biting at their paws.

I have been a fan of Natural Balance for over 15 years, but with my newest dog, it has truly changed both of our lives.
I adopted a blue nose pit about two years ago, and he came with many digestive problems. After months of trial and error with high quality foods, I finally had him tested for allergies or sensitivities. Unfortunately, there was no commercial food that avoided his long list of foods to be avoided, so I home cooked for him for 18 months.
Knowing that allergies can resolve over time, I recently tried the Natural Balance Duck and Potato (duck had been on the to be avoided list), and he is not only tolerating it, but he is thriving! I continue to use the supplements from my holistic vet, as well as add raw vegetables and kefir at every feeding, but his main source of nourishment is from this dry food. He LOVES it, and cleans his bowl before I can leave the kitchen.
Thank you Natural Balance!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Happy6 all 6 dogs eat this food
This food was reccommented by a friend when one of my English Bulldogs had allergy issues. There have been no further problems with any dogs. 3 bullies and 3 longhair chihuahuas all eat it and they are healthy with good coats. Also, thank you to Mr. Chewy for this service. I was very pleased with the way that the food was shipped, in an extra inside cardboard box that protected it from damage.
