Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Legume & Duck Meal Formula Dry Dog Food
Great for Skin problems!!!
Our adopted dog Rudy came to us on July 2010.
The first year and a half as a foster dog from Westie Rescue of North Texas. He was an owner surrendered Westie with serious skin problems like, malassezia, alopecia with hyperpigmentation and linear preputial dermatosis. His owner could no longer afford to Vet him. We adopted him, move to Florida May 2012, and he has been part of our Westie pack ( we have 2 other Westies) for 2 years now. We are always looking for a GRAIN-FREE high quality food for all of our dogs, but specially for Rudy. We are very pleased indeed with Natural Balance L.I.D. Legume and Duck Meal. This food along with oral meds, medicated baths and lots of love have been great for Rudy's skin, no more itching or chewing on his legs and paws!!. He has improved so much and his hair is growing back. Thank you Natural Balance L.I.D. products, you helped end Rudy's skin problems. Don't ever stop your L.I.D. Formulas!!!

Good as a rotation kibble
Our chocolate lab is extremely limited in the kibble he can eat due to allergies. Natural Balance Legume and Duck Meal is a good option as a rotation grain free food he can have. Natural Balance won't say where their duck is sourced, so I don't use this as his main kibble. He transitions easily to this brand.

Seems good so far
My boxer has suffered from what we believe is food allergies for over a year. We had him on a food we thought was working well for him, but his skin was always so very red. I finally switched to the LID foods from Natural Balance. The first one we tried did not work well and this one was our last resort. So far, he seems to be doing well on this food and his skin is no where near as red/pink as it has been on other foods. We are still in the process of doing the food change over but I will continue with this food for now. As far as my dog liking it, he really loves the food and gets excited for breakfast and dinner time, so it must be appealing to dogs anyway, which is great for a specialty food. Pleased with the product so far.

Good choice for a Limited Ingredient Diet dry dog food
My Vet suggested a change to a L.I.D. as my Lab had a chronic yeasty ears infection. Although she thought the Venison & Sweet Potato would work, Jean Dodds, DVM and researcher believes those are two ingredients you want to avoid with yeast infections. I decided the best one to try for my dog would be the Legumes & Duck. He loved the food from the start. It took me awhile before I could figure out the right proportion to calorie intake. I think I have it right now.

Not for us
I have 2 terriers that will eat almost anything and they won't go near this dry food. Wish I had bought a smaller bag.

Very high quality
This is a wonderful dog food. It has the right blend of nutrition without too much protein which some "top quality" dog foods today have way too much of.

Excellent dog food!
I have two dogs: A 3-year-old Golden Retriever with chronic ear infections due to allergies and a -year-old yellow lab with skin allergies. I had them each on different dog foods. Read a lot about dog allergies and dog foods and had heard really good things about Natural Balance and did some research and decided to try the Duck and Legume Limited Ingredients. Well, they love it. There allergies seem to be better controlled and they just seem healthier. I try very hard to stick to a lot of natural things for them...I don't like all the chemicals and try to find natural ways of helping them and they seem much happier and healthier with this dog food. Thank you Natural Balance for my happy, healthy doggies!
