Tossing that last broken scooper in the trash, I was determined to find a super-duper one for Nina, my especially super-pooping German Shepherd.
I think that the Nature’s Miracle scooper I ordered from Chewy just might be it.
What impresses me most about this baby is that it incorporates a pretty nifty design with a cover over the slider mechanism on the handle. The handles on the typical plastic scoopers I’ve used were usually fragile and weak but the cover on the Nature’s Miracle strengthens the whole handle stem and so there’s no flex or flimsy feel to it.
Initially I ordered both the Medium as well as the Jumbo size in order to compare them. The “Jumbo” (think elephant) worked best for me with its “Larger Than Life” (delightful Bill Murray film by the way) bucket dimensions of 6 ½” wide by 4” deep and overall length of 31 ¾” from bottom of the bucket to the end of the handle. (The Medium’s bucket is 5 3/8” wide by 3” deep, and it’s 27” from bucket bottom to handle tip.) I stuck with the Jumbo because it has lots more room to scoop Nina’s you-know-what from several different spots—though the Medium would probably work nearly as well just requiring a few more jogs to the fence line. And while it’s true that the Jumbo is a tad more unwieldy, I like the fact that it can gather much more yech per trip.
I’ll add that the price from Chewy was the best I found on the internet.
Finally, Chewy sent two Jumbos in error instead of the Jumbo and Medium that I ordered. When I called about the mistake, they quickly sent out a Medium and rather than asking me to return one of the Jumbos sent by mistake, they credited my bill and just requested that I donate it to a local shelter! Well how about that? In an age of some down right yechy corporations interested only in padding their offshore bank accounts, it’s refreshing to experience a company incorporating some generosity in its operation.
Nice going, Chewy.

This product sells for almost $30 at petsmart. I bought this online through chewy for much cheaper and received it the next day. Wow!

Convenient! Easy to use! Saves your back. The only problem I have with it is that it doesn't have a flat bottom so it doesn't stand upright without being leaned against something. Not real sure how long the springs will last if left in the elements after time. It is quality built though, so hopefully will last a long time!

We have two German Shepherds that like to p00p a lot!! This product has really helped us with maintaing the land mines in the yard. The jaws can hold a lot of waste; much easier than using a shovel.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PapiandWally Sturdy scooper!
Though it hasn't been in service for long, this scooper is better than most on the market. It is very sturdy and large enough to pick up our 90 lb Lab-patties. I'm hoping it lasts longer than previous scoopers we have owned. Jury is still out. Oh, and Chewy.com was extremely fast and affordable! It arrived 2 days after ordering it. Guess they knew we had a winter's worth of gold-mines in the yard to clean up.

As the owner of an Alaskan Malamute and Siberian Husky, our yard would be quickly overcome if not for this handy scooper. This is actually our 2nd, the first lasted 2 years, but was lazily left outside summer/winter and ended up cracking this last winter from a snow mound (not during use....got broken by the snow). Spring is almost upon us and this super scooper is ready to take it's place!
