Nature's Variety Instinct Grain-Free Chicken Formula Canned Dog Food
Nature's Variety Grain Free...Chicken
I started feeding my 3 1/2 year old Lab, Major, canned and dry Nature's Variety Grain Free about 2 months ago. Major has suffered from bloat since he was 6 months old...he had emergency GDV surgery at 6 months and has suffered tummy troubles (bloating, gas, HGE, etc) since then. I have tried other premium dog foods with some success, but have had the most improvement so far with Nature's Variety. I have an idea that it might be the Montmorillonite Clay that is helping to settle his troubles. The ingredients are high quality and he eagerly gobbles it up. I feel the quality of this canned food far exceeds that of other higher priced canned food.

Use for my cats IBS
Since the formula is the same for the cat variety & dog variety & I have 7 cats - the dog food size can is more economical.
But the reason I started on Natures Variety was because of IBS problems in my cats which were a direct result of grains being the predominant ingredient in the formula of most cat foods.
Natures Variety knows and caters to a cats ancestral dietary needs - basically PROTEIN. My cats love it & within 3 days of feeding, my cats chronic IBS symptoms, that he had been suffering from for months (vet treatments & "special" "prescription" diets had no effect on) were completely gone! We have had no reoccurences!

Nature's Variety is an excellent product and my dog loves it and Chewy.com always ships my order to me on time, however, the only complaint that I have is all of the orders I have received to date always contain dented cans which concerns me if they are safe to use.

Dachshund Pack Follows Instinct!
Good? No, GREAT! Certainly has a dachshund trio singing some pretty high notes at mealtime around here. Flavor? You bet! Texture? Oh, yes! Aromatic? Tail wagging capable of propelling wiener dogs to sideboard heights speaks for the desirability of this quality food. Cautionary Statement: Humans, watch your digits when placing dishes filled with Instinct before your voracious hounds. Yummy!

My Maltese is allergic to many foods and many other environmental triggers. Because of this, she cannot eat all varieties of Nature's Variety Instinct but she can have the chicken, beef, rabbit and duck.
She has gone from a picky eater with digestive problems to a little piggy who practically licks the pattern off the ceramic dish!
It is a bit juicy, so before I open a can I put it in the refrigerator to help solidify the juices.
I also give her "treats" throughout the day with the dry food.
LOVE this food!

This is a quality product. It has no guar gums and other ingredients used in other canned food to thicken the food. It has no objectionable smell. It is expensive so I add this to the food that I make myself. It is also good in an emergency when I don't have time to prepare the homemade food.

My dogs love this!
I bought this for my older Golden Retriever as she has food allergies. I wanted to help her stomach and hair to be more healthy. Now I have to give it to all my dogs. They are actually excited about meal time now. I would highly recommend this product. We're still in process of determining if it will help with her allergies.
