A Great Food and Company After tons of research, trail and error and a pup with a finicky stomach I came across this brand after I did some research and found it is top rated! This food does not use Gaur Gum,Carrageenan or Cassia Gum in thier canned food which is what "I" believe to be the issue with the constant scratching of my dogs not the meat product of "chicken". They also do not use rice or white potatoe in thier dry dog food which I believe was the issue for my finicky stomach dog who couldn't digest them. All 4 of my dogs love both the dry and canned and I can switch flavors with no issues at all!! I run a dog rescue and promote healthy eating for dogs and highly recommmend Natures Instinct food and too!! August 10, 2013
Great for the most particular dog! From the beginning my border collies loved the rabbit dry food. Now we are not out hunting rabbits. March 26, 2013
my guys love it I use this food as a supplement to raw food. The size is perfect for my small dogs and I feel good giving them a grain free product July 24, 2013
My dogs LOVE this food! One of my English Springers has severe allergies...she loves the Instinct Rabbit Food and it doesn't aggravate her condition. February 11, 2013
Great for dogs with allergies I was able to switch from a more expensive rabbit based product that I purchased from a veterinary hospital to this one. My only disappointment with this one is that there are a lot of ingredients beyond rabbit, such as chicken fat, salmon meal, and freeze dried pork liver. Most people switch to rabbit because of allergies. One of my dogs is highly allergic to chicken. We seem to be doing okay with this, but I might need to switch to the Rabbit Limited Diet. It must taste great! I always worry when I change foods that my boxers won't like the new taste. They seemed to love this food from the first bite. October 27, 2014
Could not use Tried this and dog could not tolerate it. Caused very dark, smelly, soft stool. As a matter of fact, since they changed their formulas Gizmo has been itching and burping all over the place. We will no longer be using Nature's Variety. Too bad, it was good for 2 years. They should have left well enough alone. Definitely not worth the $$ any longer. The only saving grace is Chewy's fantastic return policy. Got credit for the new formula Rabbit and Duck & Turkey. High ash content, loose stools This food never worked for my dogs, stools were never firm and were very dark - not normal looking. The ash content is through the roof as well if that matters to you (and it should). I like the idea of using montmorillonite clay but unfortunately I will continue to pass on this brand.
