Rated 5 out of 5 by WyattsMom Excellent dog food for allergies!!!
Excellent ingredients for dogs who have really bad food allergies! Yes, it's pretty pricey but well worth it! Just wish Chewy carried the 13# bag :(

Rated 5 out of 5 by Hooscrazy Great Product for Dogs with Allergies and IBS
My border collie mix has severe allergies and is allergic to a variety of different proteins (chicken/beef/venison/salmon/lamb), grain and fillers (potato and sweet potato) and has irritable bowel syndrome. We've tried over 10+ different types of food and have finally found the perfect food for her. She circles us like a shark when it is time to eat! I will warn that the food doesn't smell the best, and her stool is very dark and smelly, but her skin allergies and IBS are now under control.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Doralee Rabbit as a novel protein source
Instinct is a good LID dog food and has rabbit as one of the single protein sources. The kibble is very small, which is a bonus if also using as treats. The kibble is very dark; almost black. It will affect the color of the stool and if the dog vomits. So far I am pleased with this food. It is one of the few proteins my dog is not intolerant of.

My dog suffers from minor allergies. My vet wanted me to have him try another brand. I wanted to try this. I think it has reduced his itchiness. I love the ingredients because there is only one protein and one starch.

by ellen54 Picky, allergy prone eater
This is the only kibble my 11 year old mix breed will eat with out adding any mixers. HunniBear is allergic to most meats with the exception of beef (go figure), lamb, pork and rabbit. Her vet suggested rabbit and she loves it.

Rated 1 out of 5 by ar0d422 Horrible
I have had my dog on 4 different types of food, and this was by far the worst. The others I have tried (wellness large puppy chicken, blue buffalo wilderness large puppy chicken, Orijen 6 fish).
This dog food gave my dog uncontrollable black diarrhea for 3+ weeks before I gave up. I had him on probiotics after the first week to try and help his stomach, nothing worked. He loved the way it tasted and it was easy for him to eat because the food is very small. The smell is HORRIBLE, that didn't deter me. I would have stayed with it if it worked. It did make his coat beautiful. But I'm not going to let my dog have diarrhea for the rest of his life so we switched to Orijen and that works great for my dog. So if your having the same problem try out Origen 6 fish. In case your wondering I have a Doberman.

Rated 5 out of 5 by eltw Finally! :)
Finally found a dog food that my dog can tolerate reasonably well. She has been through several OTC dog foods and Prescription diets with poor results. So far the Instincts Brand Limited ingredient kibble seems to be working. She has both Inflammatory Bowel and food allergies.

by Prince33 Quality Product
I have recently started my 2 year old GSD on the limited diet after numerous diets have shown minimal effect in managing food allergy symptoms. Within a very short period, I have noticed less scratching and a shinier coat. They say it takes about 12 weeks to see significant changes when switching foods; I am already seeing the benefits. Excellent quality product with upfront ingredients. Looking forward to taking my dog off Prednisone completely.
