Northmate Green Interactive Feeder
Greatly reduces gobbling!
I have two small 6lb dogs and they both can inhale a 1/2 cup each of dog food in under 30 seconds. This bowl slowed that time to 7 minutes for one, and almost 12 minutes for the other. I did notice that the dog with the shorter snout had a little harder time getting at the food, but was still able to finish the bowl, it just took longer, which was the goal.
I am VERY satisfied with this product and just ordered a second one so they both each could have their own. Also, they no longer give a huge belch when they are done eating like they used to, and seem to be more satiated with the food they had rather than wolfing it down and immediately looking for more.

The Green feeder works great. It's a tad large but that is not an issue. We bought the feeder at the recommendation of our trainer. The purpose is to keep our dog, a juvenile English Setter, engaged in the AM. At first our dog was lazy and just got the easy kibble. After about a week he has mastered the feeder and gets every last piece of kibble. I'm not sure he's wild about the feeder, but it does slow him down and makes him work for his food. He is a feral rescue, so I'm sure he's happy to have two square meals a day, however they're delivered.

So my boyfriend rescued a dog but because of where he came from he had eating problems (meaning he inhaled his food.) We would set his bowl down and call him, look down and it was gone literally that quick. Many eating problems worried us with this but the biggest was that he was eating about six cups of food a day (he is a German shepherd/beagle mix so WAY too much food for him) and LOSING weight. We tried the ball trick he just was excited that he got a toy with his meal, the same happened with the rock so I found this bowl and decided to try it...SUCCESS! He is now eating TONS less and the normal ten seconds he used to take to eat (this isn't a joke either) he now takes ten to twenty min for half the amount of food and he is gaining his weight and has his energy back. I could not recommend this bowl more easy to use, beneficial for the dog and easy to clean (it goes in the dishwasher if you want but can be washed easy enough not using it) the ONLY downfall is if you step on it its about as bad as a Lego so don't put it near any walkways.

Thought it would never work but it did.
I have a Mini Schnauzer who used to throw up about 30% of the time after eating because she would eat her food in about 30 seconds. She is also very fussy and skidish about what she eats out of so I thought there was a good chance she would not eat from this dish but I figured it was worth a shot. I got the smaller size and her first experience she was cautious but got the hang of it and then actually seemed to enjoy it. Now she absolutely loves it! She gets very excited when it's feeding time. It now takes her about 10 minutes to eat. ( I feed her 2 times a day so it is 10 minutes for a half day portion). She no longer throws up her food and now gets a bit of a challenge with each meal. I love this product! I also purchased the larger size for our other dog which is a Lab mix although she did not eat too quickly I thought it would be fair :-) and also challenge her a bit at meal time as well. She took to hers right away and seems to enjoy it very much.
I have seen these at the local pet store for at least $10 more than Chewy.com so it was well worth ordering on line. They arrived in 2 days.

Not for dogs w/o a small long nose or tongue
It did slow my dog down but I think he had to work hard to get the food. Maybe if the "grass blades" were a bit more thinner/skinnier if that makes sense. It probably works better for Winnie dog that have the longer thinner nose or big dogs with love longer tongues. Over all good idea and will slow your dog down
