Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Jake tried lots and likes this My dog is an extremely picky eater. I tried several different dry foods over the last 3 1/2 years. This is the one he loves. July 4, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth Trying I was looking for a change of flavor from the Nutro Natural Choice Chicken/Rice. My dogs' reviews were mixed on the Nutro Max Beef. Several ate the chicken/rice nuggets and left the beef nuggets in their bowl. They showed me they preferred the Nutro Natural Choice Chicken/Rice, instead. July 10, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Nutro Max dog food I have three dogs. All of them seem to enjoy the Beef flavor. I do swap up from Beef to Chicken. Our newest rescue dog was on regular over the counter food brand like (Pedigree, and/or dog chow) good product for some dogs but gave him a lot of gas. Since swapping him to Nutro Max he hasn't had any issues any longer. March 24, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by This food works great for skin. I have a blue Doberman, prone to skin problems, this food keeps him in great shape, no bald patches. January 17, 2014
Rated 4 out of 5 by Wonderful food so far. Changing their diet This food so far has no adverse effects on either of my dogs. I am slowly changing their diet from Purina Pro Plan that was giving my one dog allergic reactions. They like the taste and seem to want the food more often. June 16, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Feeding it since 1999 This was the best food available when I started my pugs on it. Since then many foods came out with all these probiotics, fruits, vegetables, etc. That's all supposed to be better for them but can they digest all these things. I switched my eldest pug to one of these "better foods", he developed severe digestive problems and ended up on prescription Royal Canin GI formula for the rest of his life. Two of my pugs ate this for 14 years, their entire lives. So, I will continue to feed all my pugs this food. Stools are good, gas is minimal, coat is shiny, and they like it. What more could you ask for. As far as the comment on Nutro recalls etc. Every food will have a negative post somewhere out there. I would recommend this product. FYI, Royal Canin has the best prescription formulas should your dog ever need one. October 16, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great brand My boxer loves this Best brand for not a lot of gas November 4, 2015
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good value but neither dog particuarly seemed to like it. The only other flavors of Nutro product they have had in the past were, Lamb & Rice Puppy & Salmon, but they don't seem crazy about those either. I've only seen them really like one other brand, have only tried 2 brands so far. October 29, 2015
