Its a great concept but my boy is a VERY aggressive chewer and he destroyed the flaps (that keep the treat in) within days.

Tested this out to see how long it would take my tenacious 60 lb dog to get the treat out--took hours...as opposed to minutes with most other things!

This thing held up for about 15 minutes before my boxer had it chewed to shreds. It said it was for large dogs. No way!

My 14 month old Golden Retriever destroyed this thing in less than 5 minutes. I assumed it was nylon, but it's cheap rubber. I'm glad he didn't swallow any of it. It went right into the garbage.

I find this to be a frustrating toy for me and my golden retriever. It is almost impossible for her to get treats out of it since there's no flex in the opening - at least not enough for her to get anything out of. I've tried the treat sticks intended for this toy and have also tried other smaller piece loose treats. In all situations, I've had to squeeze open the end of the toy before the treats will come out. Dog lost interest in the toy very quickly.

My girls are treat orientated but this one does not hold their interest at all.

I love the Nylabone brand and so do my dogs but this product was a bit of a disappointment. I thought this was made of the typical nylon material but infact is made of medium grade rubber. The treat that comes with the toy is almost impossible to get out if inserted all the way into the toy, yet slides out easily if you leave the end sticking out at all. I was able to make the toy useful by trimming the rubber ends and putting small treats or kibble in and my dog rolls or bounces it to get the pieces to come out.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Dotty Overall I like and buy only nylabone toys and treats thus far.
I've got a 18 mo old pit bull puppy, and I bought his first nylabone treat toy at Wallmarks. They keep the refills for a while then quit. I went on line trying to keep him from chewing on my furniture, to find nylabone treats and toys! I found them a few weeks ago and ordered close to $70 worth. He loves and players with them all except this one he'll not after a few times go near or mess with this at all. I still am getting ready to order more refills for his other toys and maybe find other ones he can chew on with tearing them up so quick. But if it's not nylabone products,I won't buy it!
