Orijen Freeze Dried Dog Food

Freeze-Dried, Full of Nutrients

Orijen freeze-dried dog foods are a full 90% meat, including cage-free chicken, turkey, duck, quail and eggs, ranch-raised red meats and wild-caught fish - all delivered fresh and raw. These raw meats are flash frozen to lock in their goodness and then exposed to extremely low temperatures in pressurized chambers.

That means all of the nutrients remain in the food, exactly where they should be, which is why Orijen requires so few synthetic ingredients, just check the label!

Just Add Water

Now your dog can enjoy the texture, flavor and nutritional benefits of raw food without any of the mess or preparation. For your dog to enjoy Orijen's amazing fresh food flavors to the fullest, rehydrate Freeze-Dried foods by adding 1/4 cup (4 TBSP) of warm water per medallion. Wait 3 to 6 minutes, then serve.

To speed re-hydration, break medallions into three pieces, place in bowl and pour warm water on top.

Whole Prey Foods

In the wild, dogs consume the whole animal to meet their full dietary needs, so Orijen recipes incorporate three Whole Prey elements in specific rations.

Meat | 70-85%

High meat inclusions means all amino acids are provided in natural form, without any synthetic supplements.

Edible Bone | 5-10%

5 to 10% bone, marrow and cartilage provide calcium, phosphorus, glucosamine and chondroitin in natural source, without any artificial additives.

Organ Meat | 10-15%

10 to 15% fresh liver and tripe are a richly nourishing source of vitamins and minerals, including iron, zinc and vitamins A, B and D.

Quality Sustainable Ingredients

KNOW WHERE YOUR FOOD COMES FROM AND HOW IT'S RAISED. Orijen believes you have a right to know where the ingredients in your dog's food comes from. From nest-laid eggs and wild northern pike to juicy orchard-grown apples and crisp garden greens, each ingredient is sourced from local producers they know and trust.

Customer Reviews

Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 82 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dog loves this food. My dog loves this food and since he has been eating it exclusively, his eyes have stopped gumming-up with brown goop. May 19, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good food but my dog doesn't like it. My dog eats Regional Red dry so I thought adding the patty would be good. It's supposed to be rehydrated, but he refused to eat it that way. I contacted Orijen and they said it was okay to eat one patty dry, so I broke it up. Once in a while he will eat it, but more and more he won't. He prefers any flavor of the Stella & Chewy mixers over this. May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Expensive but This is very expensive, however you use a tiny portion. Dogs love it. Orijen is the best dry, dog or cat food you can buy. The benefit with the top grade food is the health benefits. In the long run your pet will live a better, healthy life. This is compared to the supermarket brands. This product is made in Canada. They outsource almost nothing. Some vitamins come from Europe and the USA. NOT China. The meats they use are human grade as well. May 10, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Orijen Brand I have researched a lot of different kinds of dog food and most have at least 1 very bad ingredient. I found Orijen freeze dried and kibbles that don't have any bad ingredients. My dog has not left any in her dish, unlike other brands that I would have to mix in fresh cooked veg or fruit for her to eat. Orijen is made in Canada, unlike brands made in US that can put in chemicals and by products. Canada laws must be strict. May 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent ingredients and the dogs love them. The company that makes these, makes great products. What else can I say. Our dogs love them. I mix them with dry food from the same manufacturer as a special treat for our dogs. May 10, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Does not rehydrate the same as the Tundra recipe My puppy started eating two medallions for breakfast after I noticed she would almost always vomit her breakfast kibble. This has been great, she eats all of it and most importantly, stays in. The only complaint I have with the Regional recipe is that no matter how small I break the pieces and how long they stay in the warm water, they do not rehydrate as well as the Tundra recipe. But overall, there is nothing better in the market. My puppy eats her regular Orijen Puppy kibble for lunch and dinner. April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product My dog loves it and would always beg for more - suggested feeding for his size is 3 medallions a day equals 1 for a meal....he can't get enough of it and I sometimes feel sorry for him that he wouldn't get more :-) April 28, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Drives our dog bonkers Our 6 month Pomeranian puppies goes nuts for this stuff! We use it as a topper for his dry kibble and as soon as he gets a whiff of it....he goes nuts (maybe too nuts!!). Anyway, he loves it and we feel good about giving him a product that is made by a company that cares to provide a safe, nutritionally sound product made up north in Canada from locally sourced providers. Highly recommended! April 4, 2016
