Rated 4 out of 5 by Greer22 My dog likes these treats, and begged for more
I bought these treats in preparation for a road trip that I'm taking my rat terrier on. She sometimes gets overly excited about being in the car and I was hoping that giving her one of these beforehand would help her calm down.
When the treats arrived, I gave her one to make sure that she could tolerate them. She gobbled it up and begged for another (which she didn't get - there is a limit to how many of these you should give your dog). While she loved the taste, I can't say that there was a marked difference in her excitability level. Even so, I will plan to give her one or two before we get in the car for our trip. It can't hurt.

I am pleased with the calming dog chews. It helps my little tiny toy poodle when she goes to groomer. She is 11 years old and very fragile. The calming chews calms her, the calming chews don't drug her. I only wish the calming chews were a little softer, the fact that they are so small are great. My Lil poodle also loves the beef flavor. Thank you for product, it works.

My rescue pup has separation anxiety. He goes crazy after we return if we've left him for more than an hour. These really do seem to help.

Rated 5 out of 5 by whatsername Great for my senior girl
I originally got these for my chihuahua but my 15 year old Norwegian Elkhound has actually used them much more. Since about eight years old she has been scared of fireworks, at about 12 clapping banging thunderstorms and it's just gotten worse. Her teeth chatter, her body shakes and she places around. She's torn down baby gates to get upstairs and she has arthritis so we try to keep her off the stairs as much as possible. I usually give her 1 and wait a half hour, if the storm is moderate that usually does the trick she is laying down totally relaxed. If it's a bad storm I give her two or three with some relaxing music playing and it calms her right down in a half hour or so. She sleeps through the night during a storm! It's amazing! I love this product and she loves it too.

I have terrier mix who is just anxious in general and other situations make him more anxious. I thought it couldn't hurt to try at the price. While he's happy to eat them, they do nothing to lessen or ease his anxiety.

Rated 5 out of 5 by PixiePets Works better than prescription Rx!!
Our Whippet has panic attacks during thunderstorms, fireworks, and hunting season (gun shots). We got one of the "storm shirts" and it did okay. It stopped his hassling and hard breathing; but not his pacing. Prescription Rx's had the opposite effect than they were supposed to. They made him hyper and gave him hallucinations! We tried other natural calming methods; and had little success. I stumbled across these on the internet and was quite surprised at all the positive reviews. I decided to give them a try; and I'm sooo glad I did. Whenever 'Tigger' gets into a panic now, I can give him one of these and he COMPLETELY settles down within 15-30 mins. When I say completely... I mean he actually lays down and goes to SLEEP!! Loud noises no longer bother him, and he travels with less anxiety too. They also work on my 14 year old Manchester Terrier for seperation anxiety. I highly recommend these to anyone that has a pet who struggles with anxiety issues.
