Rated 5 out of 5 by christmas cat and water
My cat loves to play in water, but wouldn't take a bath, I had a huge cereal bowl that he would push around and slop water all over my kitchen floor, found this,,, filled it up with ice and about 2 cups of water, and put it in my walk in shower, container filled with ice,,, he can't budge it, ice last about 15 hours..
Well worth every penny,,, every pet over should own one, or two

Rated 3 out of 5 by Catmom It's OK at best
My cat yanked this around all over the floor with his paws that it made a total mess. I put in on a mat and that didn't help. Even with it filled with water it wasn't weighted enough for him to not push it around. It needs a heavier base or rubber pads on the bottom. It also has a very small drinking base. Might be ok for small kittens but I found it too small for a full size cat. I went back to a bigger ceramic heavy dish.

by HudsLeia Awesome product!
Our 9 and 11 pound "Chiweenie's" had begun DRAINING their water bowls; I was re-filling it several times a day. I decided to try an auto-waterer, because their water bowl would be BONE DRY when I would wake up in the morning and go to feed them.
After searching for auto-waterers, and seeing very pricey ones; I decided to give this one a try as a sort of "test." I wanted to be sure that Coco (black pup) and Whiskey (brown pup) would drink from an "automatic watering bowl." They do...in fact, it seems that they are drinking more water! That is a good thing, because we reside in the deep south, where it is HUMID during the summertime.
Whiskey (male dog) is fine with the slight "gurgling" sound it makes sporadically as the reservoir fills the drinking area. Princess Coco is still a bit startled by it, albeit not enough to stop her from drinking completely. She may step away and look at it inquisitively, but she returns immediately to the water bowl.
We did not need a filtered watering machine (because our tap water is filtered), so this does the job for us. This reservoir has been filled for 10 days, and it is only 1/2 empty...even with Whiskey and Coco drinking from the bowl regularly. This is a great buy...I highly recommend it. THANKS, CHEWY!

Rated 3 out of 5 by CALN Sturdy, Practical
The water bowl is nice and deep and it's very sturdy. It won't splash you or wiggle if a frisky kitten bumps into it. I had two problems with this product. The first is the tiny opening on the water container. It is so small. You can't stick your hand in and really scrub the interior...you have to use a brush. If you like a squeaky clean waterer, it wont really, truly happen. The other issue is that the plastic used to make the jug is a bit flimsy. Both of mine arrived dented. I had to unpop them with a wooden spoon and a lot of patience. Despite all this, it's the best one I've found so far...

Rated 4 out of 5 by GoldenGhost Perfect for big dogs who drink lots of water
I love this. I have a Golden Ret. and she drinks a lot of water. I got the Large for her, and it really is a perfect size!
The reasons for a 4* instead of a 5* are:
1)The bottom (white tray part) is kind flimsy
2)You fill the bottle, attach the bottom, and then flip it over, it make a mess. There should be a better way to do that.
Other then that, I highly recommend!

Long over do on buying a "water" bowl for my 2 dogs. and so glad I bought this!! I was using the same water bowl for over 8 years. Won't do that again. The small things in life are sometimes the wisest investments concerning your pets.
