works great, make sure you have the black plug in. It disperses and refills as needed on its own.. I think it holds a gallon. I tilt it to fill the bowl when I set it down. But it works great. I love the stainless steel makes cleaning easy. Just waiting for the 4 cats to gather around the water cooler and chat. ( doesn't chill ).

Rated 4 out of 5 by catowner nice water jug
The jug has a wide opening allowing for easy cleaning! It is the only one I have seen with this feature. The only con is it doesn't let out as much water as other units I have had before.

Rated 1 out of 5 by WrongWay Water Level Minimal
I've already chalked this purchase up to a loss. The gravity feed only allows about 1/2" of water to be in the bowl. Dirt and grass build up in the bottom of the bowl too easily. Give me a cheaper Le Bistro anytime.

I agree I wish it came in a 2 gallon size. I have to Labrador retrievers. Water does not last very long in this container.

Rated 3 out of 5 by MrsGoober very messy
I should have listened to the reviews. First I thought it was bigger. I am looking for one that holds a 5 gallon prefilled bottle. This one is very small and like the review when you put the water bottle on the water doesn't stop pouring over the edge. I know that there is an awesome one out there I hsve been told of them but im not convinced that this is the one. I am going to keep looking
