Rated 3 out of 5 by JBinSD The jury's still out...
After using this only 3 times, and the sprayer only twice, the sprayer stopped working. The beep still works, so I'm using the "good beep" to try to train my dog to stay calm when we drive past other dogs. Still... it would be nice if the sprayer would work. As it is now, it's an expensive unit for just making a pleasant beep sound. Am waiting to hear back from PetSafe and will hopefully be able to give a positive update at some point.

Rated 4 out of 5 by EA95 Not for under 32 F! But otherwise great...
I received this in really cold weather, the fine print warned not to use under 32F...so I had to wait till it warmed up. The remote takes 24 hours to charge, but has no light to tell you it is ready. My skittish lab seems to respond best just to the sound, I have only tried the spray once when she was trying to eat some garbage. So caveats aside this seems an excellent trainer/deterrent for my dog's bad behavior! Just the sound gets her to leave the mischief AND come back to me. I am pleased!

Rated 2 out of 5 by Jay64 The idea is great but the function has a lot to be desired
5 Star customer service for PetSafe and Chewy. 1 Star for the product design. On the advice of our trainer we looked for and purchased this unit at a great price from Chewy. The system seemed sturdy at first but after the initial fluid fill it would not fill again. It just sprayed all over the place, after talking with PetSafe’s great customer service they said the o-ring that seals the fill can to the unit was missing, huh? After one use, ok but to fix it they have to send a replacement, wow. How about a new o-ring or for that matter put several in the box if they are that easy to lose.
Anyway that was only the minor issue this is NOT a good solution for longer haired dogs or shepherds well any dog with a long snout. The spray is directed upwards from the top of the collar “spray” box and just sprays the underside of the neck and chin unless the dog is looking upwards. I adjusted it in varying ways to no avail. Shepherds tend to have a second chin or loose skin in the neck area and this will also block the spay nozzle. When I talked to customer service he asked what kind of dog and then said oh yes THEY DON’T DO WELL ON SHEPHERDS. Wish they would have posted that on the description. Hence the main reason I am writing this review. A better design would be to place the sprayer on the front of the “spray box” and angle it upward a touch. That would alleviate the need to trim long hair and avoid any other obstructions as well as long snouts.
The customer service from PetSafe was GREAT, he took the time with me explained everything, didn't make excuses, was honest and in the end is sending a new static system as a replacement for no additional charge including free shipping to me and free return shipping for the spay collar too.

Rated 1 out of 5 by GG20 Going on a 3rd replacement
So far the sprayer has broke on the first two collars sent to me (original and replacement)... i'm willing to give it a third try with one more replacement since my dog responded immediately to the spray when i used it for jumping on guests. Just wish it would work for more than one day!!!
