Rated 5 out of 5 by PoochMT Great fountain dish!
I have 2 cats that weren't drinking enough water, because of that my male cat got a urinary track infection. The vet said I needed to get him drinking more water so I saw this dish and thought it would be great because it was ceramic, I liked that because he is a big boy and I didn't want him to dump it over if he stepped on it. It took him 3 days and he is drinking water like never before, I couldn't be happier. It isn't real loud and it is a nice looking dish! If your cat needs to drink more water I highly recommend this dish. My other cat is still a little afraid of it but I think it won't be long before she is using it.

Rated 5 out of 5 by henlady Easy to clean
Pros: Attractive design, good size for cats, quiet, durable, heavy ceramic, easy to clean, and lets pet drink from either cascade or pool. Cons: does not hold as much water as another more popular fountain so must be topped off periodically. The aesthetics and ease of cleaning compared to the other brand makes it a winner at our house.

Rated 1 out of 5 by Aimeeleevee Very disappointing
We had been looking for a pet fountain for our three cats. I wanted one that was dishwasher safe for easy cleaning. Pioneers Pet's Ceramic Raindrop Fountain had all the features that we wanted, plus the design was attractive. Assembly was obnoxious though. It wasn't clear how to fit the top drinking tray onto the bottom bowl. After we guessed at it for a while, we did figure it out. Even then, the outlet for the water pump wasn't a good fit with the hole on the top drinking tray, but we kept working with it until we got it assembled. Our cats loved it! It increased their drinking, their stools became softer. It was doing what it was supposed to do. Changing the water ever night was an ungainly process, unplugging the electric cord, juggling the bottom bowl, hoping the pump restarted, trying not to break the ceramic, etc., but it was almost worth it for the cats' sake. Then, one week after we started it up, the motor on the pump blew out. We're disappointed because it was so enjoyable for the pets, on the other hand, we're a little thankful because the whole contraption was awkward and a little terrifying. I really wish this could have been a great review of the product, but I just can't recommend this until they come up with a more user friendly design.

This worked well for my cats for about 7 months and then the motor stopped. However, I contacted Chewy.com customer service and they immediately resolved the problem by providing me a new one. THIS IS THE BEST SITE FOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!! Not only are the prices great, the shipping fast & free - but the attention to customer satisfaction is amazing. I recommend to all of my friends & family!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Careyenz Love this fountain!
This fountain has been life changing for my family and kitties. I have three cats ranging in age from 6 months to 16 yrs. My 11 yr old would only drink running water, and she usually wanted it in the middle of the night. Often I would get up to just silence her demands. This past January, my 16 yr old was diagnosed with Chronic Kidney Disease. Both cats are now enjoying this fountain and my sleepless nights are over. Thanks to the fountain, my KCD cat has much improved due to the extra water she is drinking! It's not noisy other than the sound of babbling water. It does get louder as the water levels drop off, so I do keep it fairly full.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mimi0810 good fountain but my cat hasn't showed interests
The fountain has a nice design. The pump is quiet and no water splashing out of the bowl like some of the other reviews I found in other sites. People has different tolerance to noise and I couldn't find any specifics during my research, so I thought I would throw in my personal experience. If I really pay attention, I can hear the pump running. But the pump is so quiet that the noise is masked by the sound of running water. As long as you can tolerate the noise level of a dripping faucet, you should have no problem with this fountain.
I didn't give 5 stars for 2 reasons:
1) The manufacturer could easily match the colour of the pump housing with the colour of the water bowl. This would definitely improve the appearance of the fountain.
2) It has been 2 weeks, but my cat only watches the water running. I see him drinking when I have the pump turned off, but never see him close to it when the pump is running...

I have 2 cats and have had many drinking fountains through the years. I keep one fountain on the patio and living in south Florida with the heat and humidity any plastic fountain I had would grow alge and not last long. I love this fountain because it is ceramic and no standing water. All the water just flows and continues to circulate and keeps the water fresh. It is by far the easiest to clean and it looks so stylish.
The motor is strong enough to keep a nice stream flowing but not annoyingly loud at all. It has different levels for the cats to drink from. One likes the little pool of bubbling water at the top, while my other cat likes to drink from the main bowl or the "water slide". Both my kitties love it. I think this may be the best drinking fountain ever.
