Rated 5 out of 5 by Veterinary prescription food My dog has issues with diarrhea and this food which is vegetarian seems to help so far. We don't know what is wrong with him, maybe he has allergies to chicken which is in most dog food. May 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My allergic to EVERYTHING dog loves this! I adopted my dog, Ellie, (Whippett - lab mix) about a year ago, and she scratched herself constantly, to the point she had raw wounds on her body. We ran some tests with my vet, and it turns out she has a very severe allergy to just about everything, (especially meat proteins)! She now takes immunotherapy twice daily and Apoquel, (the Apoquel works wonders!) And though these have helped some, she still scratches. I tried a novelty meat dog food with Kangaroo, and the itching did not subside or lessen. Then I switched her to this Purina Pro Plan vegetarian formula, (she is still transitioning over from the Kangaroo formula) and I can already see a difference where she is not scratching as much, as often! So far so good, I'm keeping my fingers crossed and hoping once we are fully transitioned over to this food, the problem we be taken care of! And, very importantly, she LOVES this food! I was concerned it may be too bland and she wouldn't take to it, but she loves it, prefers it to the Kangaroo formula food, and eats them as treats also! January 22, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Works for my dog's picky digestive system My dog was having troubles with diarrhea and soft stools. This food seems to work with her, although I don't think she is crazy about the taste. I'm thankful for the Chewy price - less expensive than at the vets, but it's still a bit pricey. But my dog is worth it. May 17, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not the food for a dog with severe food allergies I'm not saying this is a bad food but just giving our experience for people who might be in the same situation. We have a young English bulldog with severe food allergies. He did good the first couple of days and completely regressed with itching, scratching and chewing of his feet and face. April 28, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by My Irish setter symptoms of Inflammatory bowel disease decreased While his health has vastly improved the dog food maybe bland since he will only eat it if I add cooked vegetables. May 1, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for my food sensitive dog All the rashes, scratching, etc., caused by food sensitives disappeared when I switched Purina Pro Plan Veterinary Diets HA Hydrolyzed Formula Dry Dog Food. Expensive but worth it! April 25, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Don't work on my dog Unfortunately my dog doesn't improve his health with this food due to his severe colitis, but I'm pretty sure it doesn't had to be due to the food, she simply don't do well with it. April 25, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by She likes it! I was concerned my dog Ruby wouldn't like it. Trying to determine what is causing her allergies, our vet recommended we try this food. I was relieved when she gobbled it up. And it seems to be working, her skin has cleared up and she's not as itchy. NOW, if we can find which food is the problem. I don't want to keep her on this long term. March 28, 2016
