Purina Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Formula Canned Dog Food Customer Reviews

Purina Veterinary Diets EN Gastroenteric Formula Canned Dog Food 4.7 5 23 23
The only food for our dog! Our chihuahua had stomach issues for years, and we tried giving her many different products from the vet. Not until she starting eating EN about 5 years ago did her stomach issues go away. She became like a whole new dog. She's almost 15 and doing great! November 9, 2013
Gentle on Senior Dog GI Our 10yo Wheaten unexpectedly contracted a severe case of gastroenteritis after a stay at the kennel. Our veterinarian recommended he go on this product when he was sent home to help with his recovery, and eventually switch back to his normal food. As we began to run out of the case our vet had given us, we noticed that: A) Our dog loves this food B) He was hadn't had any periodic sensitive stomach bouts that he'd otherwise had for years (no surprises when we got home, no random acts of vomiting) C) He seems to be maintaining good energy levels on this food So he's stayed on it. as we figure he hasn't got a lot of time left, so why mess with something he likes and seems to be working? My shitzua loved the original food We have had great success with the original wet dog food. But not so with the new probiotic food. Upset stomach and diarrhea, now searching for another brand he'll eat and his stomach will tolerate December 22, 2013
Good product Our vet put our dog Murray on this food after having gastric stomach issues. It is the only product he would eat and he loved it. It had his digestive track back in order in about 4 days. I would say the only down fall of the food is, after reading the ingredients the third ingredient is meat by product. Meat by product meaning it is a unidentified meat source. This normally is all of the scrap from meat, poultry and what ever they want to throw in there. I stay away from any food that states this. Though it worked for our dog, I think I will try the old fashion rice and chicken diet for him. July 25, 2013
My pup's favorite Our 11 month old Lab has been placed on a fairly bland chicken and rice diet for several weeks due to some tummy trouble. She absolutely loves the canned version of this Purina En, almost as much as the home cooked chicken and rice. Chewy.com was extremely helpful in getting this to us quickly, too. June 17, 2014
Great diet food! My Sheltie, Alexandra, has had gastro problems for the last several months. She has tried other veternarian recommended diet foods, but this is the first diet canned food that she likes, and it agrees with her. She's feeling better, and that makes both of us happy! August 19, 2013
EN agrees with Brandy. She would get tummyaches I would call them and now she is feeling much better for the last 5 years on EN. My dog has been on EN for many years and it has helped her a great deal. Being a doxie she has always had tummy problems now not so many. Thanks to EN July 13, 2013
Hard to Believe - a Picky Great Dane Yea, we have one named Zorro. And for as big as he is and willing to eat any piece of clothing of mine sitting around - he is a picky eater. Purina EN works. Our vet recommended it and has improved his stool too. Easy to order from Chewy's , fast delivery and always fresh. September 29, 2014
