Rated 5 out of 5 by car2ner good training reward
Our IPO club has been using cubes of the Red Barn rolls as training rewards. The beef flavor is the favorite. The lamb and rice tends to crumble. It is healthier than our old stand-by, inexpensive hotdogs.
This product is sweet so it must taste like dog candy for my pooch.

I switched to this product from another brand who recently changed their formula. My dog loves these rolls so far. He's pretty picky and we grate it and mix it in with his dry food. He is once again finishing his plate! They are less expensive than the other brand we were using, which is definitely a plus!

What a hit! It must taste like filet mignon, because both of the 'girls' got NUTS! Their eyes get wide and a frenzy sets in. I cut it up in TINY little pieces so they won't choke- eating it so ravenously. It does dry out if you don't keep wrapped up tight in plastic, but don't worry- it doesn't last that long. If it's in the dish- it's GONE!

Rated 4 out of 5 by DobermanDad Picky dog eats consistently. Very dense though, not soft.
My older picky dog will eat this consistently.
It's important to know that if you have an older dog or just any dog in general that can't chew hard foods then you'll need to soak this stuff in water first to make it easier to eat. It's not soft like the stuff you see in the fridge in the pet food section. It's very dense and very dry. My little old girl is missing most of her teeth at this point and without soaking this food she really struggled to chew it. I cut it into small cubes and soak it in hot water for about 10 minutes and she's able to eat it without much to any trouble.

This is an excellant product. Would recomment for any senior dog or one your trying to put weight on. My three Papillons have been on redbarn for over 12 years. Easy to feed and store. Can feed less than many commercial dog foods.

I have 1 dog that will eat anything and another who gets bored with his dry food so we mix in wet...only he will get bored of the wet so we're constantly changing that up to keep him interested in eating. I bought the 4lb beef roll to try. I have given it as a meal but mostly I cut up some chunks to add to the dry food. He does a dance when he sees me grab the roll out of the fridge! The other dog gets bite size chunks for her tricks.
It wasn't crumbly like some reviewers said. Yes, it is on the dry side but it has enough moisture so it wasn't crumbs after cutting up. I like how there's increment marks so I know exactly how much is 2", which is the recommendation for a meal. Very pleased and will try another flavor soon.

Rated 4 out of 5 by CollieMom Redbarn Naturals Beef Recipe Dog Food Roll
My dogs really enjoy this treat as a reward during training. It keeps well and lasts a long time.
There's another dog food roll that I like better - Happy Howie - but this is a close second. Made in USA (yeah, I know. Were the ingredients sourced in USA is a consideration, too. I don't know that).
Try buying this at a dog show! Oh, my gosh does it cost A LOT MORE. Thank you Chewy!

I am using the food as training treats and the texture makes it great for this purpose. I have my dogs total attention when I am using this! Very economical for this purpose!
