Convenient, Reliable, Price is Right I've looked all over the internet for the best deals and I must say I truly feel this is the best deal. We receive our dog food promptly and every other Thursday. We signed up for the Automatic Shipment and I would highly suggest you sign up for it. We have 2 German Shepherds that LOVE this dog food and we NEVER have to go to the Pet Store ever again!! If we want a dog toy we can add it to the order under the shipment settings which is great!! We really are extremely happy with the service and the products!! June 24, 2013
Very Poor Ingredients We were turned onto this food by our veterinarian. Banfield. Which we also dropped. Full of chicken? Maybe chicken by-product... Read the ingredients listed on the bag and do a little homework. By-product is the leftover beaks feathers feet and other discarded "waste". This food contains zero nutritional value. Corn, when was the last time your body digested corn? Same thing goes for a dog, its nothing but a filler. For nearly the same I can get a locally made food rich in proteins, not by-products! I later found out that Royal Canin sponsors many veterinary clinics, thus is why it is recommended. Dont trust me though do your own homework and look it up. December 22, 2013
My Dog love Royal Canin! This is the best dog food I have ever bought for my dog. I tried different kind of dog food over the years, but nothing like Royal Canin! JC June 30, 2014
Tasty but hard to chew I have 3 dogs of which two are older (one 8 and one 14). This food is in big, almost square chucks (like the size of a nickel, only almost square) that are very hard. While the ingredients are good, the food is very hard for older dogs to chew. Plus because it is in such big & heavy pieces, it doesn't take many pieces to fill up a measuring cup. Therefore, the food should be weighed out rather than fed by cups. The dogs do like the taste. But because it is harder to measure out and is so very hard to chew, I will not buy it again. Happy Sheppy We rescued a GSD from a breeder, yes a breeder who had all the dogs in kennels instead of running around on acreage as the website indicated. Our dog was super skinny (40 lbs.) and shedding like crazy. We started her on Royal Canin 2 years ago regardless of the webs disapproval of this food and she made an incredible come back. She is now her intended 75 lbs. and believe it or not doesn't shed very much. She seems to like the stuff and we have no plans of changing her to any of those designer brands. Thanks RC for a top notch GSD food. June 20, 2014
She likes it! She had just about stopped eating her previous dry food when I ordered this one!! She even eats it like treats from my hand! June 16, 2014
Product is dog friendly,,as far as digestion, coat ,and doggy taste bud's. I like the overall product ,that does not have a lot of BS by products to act as useless fillers. Dogs coat is shiny ad soft, lots of energy and good digestion. #Notmuchgas #Lol I use Royal Canine with raw diet mix. Would recommend ! June 6, 2014
great for german shepherds This food for my very best friend is all I will continue to feed him as his main source of food. I have tried several other brands, high end, high rated, expensive brands, in between, thinking that I was doing something great for my buddy. He didn't like the food. He would nibble and spit some of the higher end foods out of his giant mouth. I had this idea to go back to his original Royal Canin German Shepherd food. First day back, he took a few mouthfuls, turned around to look at me, wagged his tail so happily, and continued eating with the attitude of "finally got my favorite food back". Now, how could I ever stop using this for my boy? I won't . Occasionally, I will mix something in with his food for a treat. This food keeps hot spots away. Away, away. Meaning, while on this brand food, my buddy never got hot spots. He did have one or two while on the other high end, high rated, higher priced dry dog foods. His hot spots cleared up in the last week since being back on Royal Canin. I love my boy and want to make him happy. He is my world and I am his world. He depends on me. May 3, 2014
