Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.9 out of 5 by 34 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by The Only Food That Works for My German Shepherd I recently got a 2 and 1/2 year old German Shepherd. He had horrible diarrhea when I got him. I had him on Metro for five weeks. Although it got better, his poop just wouldn't firm up and remained mushy. I tried a few different foods, but then my vet talked to the Royal Canin vet techs and they recommended this food. It is miraculous. My dog poops a lot because of all the fiber, but his poops are works of art. I know this may sound strange to say, but if you have ever had a dog suffering from diarrhea (and I've had a few so I'm super sensitive about it), you'll know what I mean. May 10, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by FINALLY!!! Our new rescue puppy, Buddy, suffered for almost 3 months with bouts of diarrhea. After several vet visits, de-wormers, antibiotics (metro), rice diets and then adding pumpkin to his kibble which didn't work, our vet recommended Royal Canin Veterinary Diet Gastrointestinal Fiber Response Dry Dog Food. FINALLY, WE HAD A NORMAL POOP & NO DIARRHEA!!! We switched him in one day with unbelievable results. He loves the taste and runs in circles when he knows its feeding time! I cant tell you from a loving mom's perspective the relief and gratitude I feel! For anyone who has experienced this I would strongly recommend this food, I wont ever switch! I know our puppy has finally found his forever food!!! THANK YOU ROYAL CANIN!!! July 23, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by this product is a life saver for me My girl cat was having a hard time going to the bathroom always straining, took her to the vet and he sold me this cat food , excellent food she has no problem now, I highly recommend this food. It is a little expensive but with the savings of having to constantly take her to a vet it is well worth it. July 11, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Excellent Pricing, easier than going to vet every two weeks If your doctor has prescribed this dog food, you know what you're getting. This was the final option before invasive medical testing, and for now, it has helped alleviate Midnight's digestion issues. Chewy's pricing is slightly better than my already good pricing at the vet's office, and the autoship savings and ease of scheduling are great as well. May 28, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Specialty foods made affordable. Great timely delivery considering they had to verify prescription with vet. This particular food is not carried in any petsmart anymore and it is the ONLY food that works for my dogs stomach. Not only does have this type, but it is significantly less expensive than petsmart home delivery and FREE shipping! Highly recommend. May 12, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Saved my rescue This Royal Canin fiber response is fabulous. My daughter rescued a pit/lab mix. After a few days the poor dog started bloating up and having diarrhea. We took her to one vet who thought she might have eaten squirrel poopoo....but the problems still existed. Took her to another vet and they took a stool sample. They determined that she had plenty of bacteria in her intestines and that about every 21 days it would flourish so much that is bloated her tummy and gave her the diarrhea. The vet recommended this food to help keep the bacteria under control. It has worked beautifully for three years - dog is fine and happy and no digestive problems at all. Using this food solved the problem and saved huge vet bills. Highly recommend it. March 26, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Good for gastroenteritis My English setter mix had mucous and blood in his stool, plus diarrhea, and wound up in the ER after a particularly nasty episode. The vet recommended this food. Yes, it's expensive, but my boy is feeling much better, and his "output" looks great. October 27, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Fantastic product! This food helped my 14-year-old black lab within 24 hours, amazing. My veterinarian knew to prescribe this product. I am impressed! December 28, 2013
