Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 32 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Vet recommended My dog was diagnosed with inflammatory bowel disease after more than four years of chronic vomiting, several vets and hospitals, unsuccessful diets, and thousands of dollars in vet bills. This is the only protein she can tolerate and she loves it! She especially likes the dry and canned food mixed together. A big thank you to Doc Alan Kirmayer at the Animal Hospital of Rye for recommending Canine Hypoallergenic HP food, for his compassion and extensive expertise. He diagnosed Sami's illness and established a treatment plan (with the right food) to help her heal. December 6, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by Hydrolyzed Protein Adult Canned Dog Food My Cinderella absolutely loves this food. She even prefers it to the snack crackers and will only eat the kibble if I mix it together! A big thumbs up! November 30, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by great food My dog Maggie has addisons disease which causes her bowel problems from time to time. My vet at UC Davis had recommended the Royal Canin HD dry and wet food. It really seems to keep her bowel issues under control. I am afraid to try anything else for she is doing really good now. She does take meds but, I really think the food does play a part in keeping it under control. I would definitely recommend this food. March 17, 2014
Rated 5 out of 5 by works very well for my dog. The food smells funny, consistency is gelatin like and my dogs poops smell really bad. However it has saved her life, she has bloody colitis caused by severe allergies. She is well now no eyes dripping smelly exudate, no excessive hair loss, no funny smelling skin, and most importantly no more bloody diarrhea. Rated 2 out of 5 by My dog found eating this very ruff! This was incorporated into my very allergic dogs diet for a six-week trial along with a dry food. He ate it the first day but since then he has rejected it. I even tried baking it to make snacks -sometimes he eats them but most times not- or spits them out. I think it's a good product for severely allergic dogs but apparently I don't think it tastes very good February 8, 2015
Rated 4 out of 5 by works for us this food helps my shih tzu sammy, he has problems with pancreatitis and amazingly he likes it even though he is terribly picky if it's not human food March 1, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by my dog LOVES the taste of this and she's picky! She's been on this for 2-3 weeks after vet decided her problems were from food allergy. she has not had any more issues with that so far and best of all she loves this food. This hypoallergenic brand is far better than the one from Hill's diet. January 30, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for sensitive dogs Easy to digest nourishment for dogs with sensitive stomachs. After trying several dog foods with little success we found this one which suits our needs. November 7, 2014
