Rated 4.7 out of 5 by 64 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by So far, so good My year and a half old Frenchie began having allergie skin reactions when I tried switching his food brands. I should have known better and stuck with what was working, but I wanted to move him to the food my second Frenchie was eating (she has an iron stomach). Long story short, among other lovely symptoms, he started losing all the hair on his belly and rear legs; he is now seeing a dermatologist and she has put him on an elimination diet with nothing but Ultamino for the next 12 weeks. After four weeks, he is responding to it well; the skin pustules on his groin have gone down and the gunk in his ears has cleared. He still has red spots where the pustules were and the interior of the ears is still red, but he is feeling much better and is much more active. The hair is starting to grow back slowly. I am hopeful we can get him onto a regular food eventually, but if this is all he can ever eat, then so be it. He's a Frenchie and these things happen to them. A lot. Although the odor was a little off putting to me at first, he loves it and I've gotten used to it. March 7, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Product good for allergies Product was what I expected and it arrived very fast April 29, 2016
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good intentions My dog LOVES this food, and it smells really yummy. But his coat is getting dull and his energy level had fallen, so I don't feel it's a good quality kibble. April 22, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Not so good. Dog is having a tough time eating it. Ultamino has a very loud prominent oder/aroma that my dog does not like (and I think is offensive). The food smells like it has been processed in soy sauce. The dog only eats sporadically. Will have to ask the vet to put him back on Hydolyzed protein formula which he liked and ate well. Rated 5 out of 5 by Sensitive diets needs We have been using this product for several months and is a better bargain than the actual vet office and it's delivered straight to my house. Our pet has seen reduced skin flare ups and is still on her food allergy trial to rule out food sensitivities. So far so good! And the dog food smells like tomato soup, yummy! April 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Worth the price My lab has so many allergies and after putting him on this food..I can already tell his allergies are clearing up. Definitely worthwhile! April 2, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by best buy bad smell Smell is aweful. I understand whymydog won't eat it right away but it's what the vet suggested and is for fooda allergies. Best part is less expensive than vet and dont have to worry bout running out with autoship. Thanks chewy!! March 21, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by They LOVED it! Thought we would have to slowly introduce a new food, but, they ate it right up. Pricey yes, but if it helps keep them healthy, will buy again. March 24, 2016
