Inconsistent I agree with a previous review who talked about the inconsistencies with this product. My bag was nothing but broccoli and sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes is the first ingredient on the list, so I would expect to see more of that ingredient than the others, but turkey is second and the turkey was non-existent in my bag. Tons of broccoli, though, which is the third ingredient. I looked at the bottom of the bag thinking that the meat settled in shipment, but no. To me, this is not a complete meal when you receive a bag like this. It needs to be supplemented with a protein source. I contacted Chewy's CS and they asked for a picture, which I provided. They are sending a replacement, but more importantly, I hope this gets addressed with Sojos. If they continue to send out bags like this, customers are not getting what they have paid for, but even more importantly, dogs are not getting the nutrition they need and what is stated on the bag. After all, dogs are carnivores, they are not vegetarians. June 30, 2013
Excellent Dog Food I have been using this dog food for two years now. I have two Shelties. I noticed their bad breath going away and a LOT less shedding not to count the fact that my heavy older girl slimmed down and they just love the food. Their coats are even more shiny than before. I make up 3-4 days worth at a time and I have found nothing better to date. September 3, 2012
IMPROVED HEALTH & THE DOGS LOVE IT I'VE BEEN USING SOJO FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY UP-TIGHT SHELTY SUFFERED FROM CONSTIPATION WHILE MY EVER-EAGER BORDER COLLIE/HUSKY MIX HAD FREQUENT DIARRHEA. BOTH CONDITIONS WERE GONE RIGHT AFTER THE SWITCH TO SOJO, AND HAVE NOT RECURRED. THEIR COATS ARE SO SHINY PEOPLE STOP US TO COMMENT ON IT. THE DOGS LIKE IT AND NEVER SEEMED TO TIRE OF IT AS THEY DID WITH OTHER FOODS. FOR A WHILE THE MIX CONTAINED ENOUGH BROCCOLI THAT IT WAS THE DOMINANT SMELL , AND THE SHELTY DIDN'T LIKE IT. AT FIRST HE NOSED THE PIECES TO THE EDGE OF THE BOWL AND THEN STOPPED EATING THE FOOD AT ALL WHEN THE PIECES WERE TO SMALL TO ELIMINATE. BUT THE PROPROTION OF INGREDIENTS SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED AND HE'S HAPPY AGAIN. MY DOGS' HEALTH AND WELFARE IS MY RESPONSIBILITY . I AM CONFIDENT THAT SOJO IS THE BEST DIET I CAN GIVE THEM. Molly, a miniature Schnauzer, loves Sojo's with turkey!! My son started feeding his 2 Labs Sojo's on a Vet's recommendation. I have a 7 year old miniature Schnauzer who started having some health issues for the first time in her life. My son gave me some of his Sojo's with Turkey to try for Molly---who had been eating dry dog food from the beginning. Molly started eating the Sojo's I gave her and never looked up until it was gone. I was surprised to see her eat like that---she would normally nibble at her food all day long. Molly has decided, Sojo's with turkey is for her!!! June 13, 2013
Forever grateful I have 4 rescues, 2 of which are sisters and were found in the woods. They were starving and so infested with internal parasites, they had to be dewormed several times. One sister is fine, digestively speaking but the other is very sensitive and easily vomits and never ate well. After much reading and consulting a pet feed store who recommended Sojos Turkey, Hannah now LOVES eating. She jumps and dances when her food is put down and eats like a normal dog. It's made a world of difference and no more food is wasted when she decides she can't or won't eat. She now eats every piece and is really happy to do so. I credit Sojos with her wonderful appetite and ability to eat and keep it down. What a relief. She's been eating Sojos for about 9 months. May 19, 2013
This stuff is great! It smells so good, my husband thought it was for us and tried some! Since I received a sample of sojos, I have been impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the ease of making it. I have been feeding my dogs raw for 10+ years, and this is a very easy way to do it. I add other foods to their diet along with sojos, but it could easily stand alone. I'm hooked. So are the dog girls! July 29, 2012
Sojos Dogfood This product was compact and easy to store in my pantry for my 2 small dogs. They loved the food and gobbled it down. Thanks for a great product! July 13, 2012
Good food but use to be better. My dogs love both Sojos Complete and Sojos Veggies. The only problem I have is that they changed how they make the product. The veggies use to be very fine and well blended, now the veggies are too big and the veggies are not blended well with whatever powdery type of supplement they are using. You will choke on it if you shake the bag and forget to let it settle a little before you open it. After it is rehydrated I have to put it in my food processor to make the veggies more digestable for my dogs, which is a pain. They do enjoy it though. June 19, 2012
