I have a Westie with terrible food allergies. He is almost 3 years old and has NEVER had a complete coat. He scratches and chews 24/7. He coughs like he has a hair ball all the time(I'm sure he does). His poopy has more hair than he does. I have tried everything to help this poor baby. He has consistently been on grain and soy free food with an uncommon protein source (I have 4 dogs so they all have to eat this for fear that the Westie could get something not good for him), he's had steroids, daily medicated baths, benedryl, coconut oil, dream coat, organic salmon oil, I could go on and on. I'm scared to think how much I have spent. So I heard about Sojos, and thought I would at least give it a try. He has been eating Sojos for 3 days. What is that I hear......silence....no scratching, no coughing, no crying in misery. I am simply astounded, and writing this with tears in my eyes. I am so so happy and my baby is sleeping peacefully for the first time in his life.
Can you imagine what it must be like to itch all day everyday.

I agree with a previous review who talked about the inconsistencies with this product. My bag was nothing but broccoli and sweet potatoes. Sweet potatoes is the first ingredient on the list, so I would expect to see more of that ingredient than the others, but turkey is second and the turkey was non-existent in my bag. Tons of broccoli, though, which is the third ingredient. I looked at the bottom of the bag thinking that the meat settled in shipment, but no. To me, this is not a complete meal when you receive a bag like this. It needs to be supplemented with a protein source.
I contacted Chewy's CS and they asked for a picture, which I provided. They are sending a replacement, but more importantly, I hope this gets addressed with Sojos. If they continue to send out bags like this, customers are not getting what they have paid for, but even more importantly, dogs are not getting the nutrition they need and what is stated on the bag. After all, dogs are carnivores, they are not vegetarians.

by maddog Forever grateful
I have 4 rescues, 2 of which are sisters and were found in the woods. They were starving and so infested with internal parasites, they had to be dewormed several times. One sister is fine, digestively speaking but the other is very sensitive and easily vomits and never ate well. After much reading and consulting a pet feed store who recommended Sojos Turkey, Hannah now LOVES eating. She jumps and dances when her food is put down and eats like a normal dog. It's made a world of difference and no more food is wasted when she decides she can't or won't eat. She now eats every piece and is really happy to do so. I credit Sojos with her wonderful appetite and ability to eat and keep it down. What a relief. She's been eating Sojos for about 9 months.

by PG60 Excellent Dog Food
I have been using this dog food for two years now. I have two Shelties. I noticed their bad breath going away and a LOT less shedding not to count the fact that my heavy older girl slimmed down and they just love the food. Their coats are even more shiny than before. I make up 3-4 days worth at a time and I have found nothing better to date.

I'VE BEEN USING SOJO FOR SEVERAL YEARS. MY UP-TIGHT SHELTY SUFFERED FROM CONSTIPATION WHILE MY EVER-EAGER BORDER COLLIE/HUSKY MIX HAD FREQUENT DIARRHEA. BOTH CONDITIONS WERE GONE RIGHT AFTER THE SWITCH TO SOJO, AND HAVE NOT RECURRED. THEIR COATS ARE SO SHINY PEOPLE STOP US TO COMMENT ON IT. THE DOGS LIKE IT AND NEVER SEEMED TO TIRE OF IT AS THEY DID WITH OTHER FOODS.
FOR A WHILE THE MIX CONTAINED ENOUGH BROCCOLI THAT IT WAS THE DOMINANT SMELL , AND THE SHELTY DIDN'T LIKE IT. AT FIRST HE NOSED THE PIECES TO THE EDGE OF THE BOWL AND THEN STOPPED EATING THE FOOD AT ALL WHEN THE PIECES WERE TO SMALL TO ELIMINATE. BUT THE PROPROTION OF INGREDIENTS SEEMS TO HAVE CHANGED AND HE'S HAPPY AGAIN.
MY DOGS' HEALTH AND WELFARE IS MY RESPONSIBILITY . I AM CONFIDENT THAT SOJO IS THE BEST DIET I CAN GIVE THEM.

Rated 5 out of 5 by flyngpg This stuff is great! It smells so good, my husband thought it was for us and tried some!
Since I received a sample of sojos, I have been impressed by the quality of the ingredients and the ease of making it. I have been feeding my dogs raw for 10+ years, and this is a very easy way to do it. I add other foods to their diet along with sojos, but it could easily stand alone.
So are the dog girls!

Rated 5 out of 5 by SJBB Molly, a miniature Schnauzer, loves Sojo's with turkey!!
My son started feeding his 2 Labs Sojo's on a Vet's recommendation. I have a 7 year old miniature Schnauzer who started having some health issues for the first time in her life. My son gave me some of his Sojo's with Turkey to try for Molly---who had been eating dry dog food from the beginning. Molly started eating the Sojo's I gave her and never looked up until it was gone. I was surprised to see her eat like that---she would normally nibble at her food all day long.
Molly has decided, Sojo's with turkey is for her!!!

Rated 3 out of 5 by Petal Fantastic product if there was consistency
My dog loves this food and I would highly recommend it. The key issue I have is that when you buy the "complete" you are supposed to get meat. On at least 4 occasions, I have gotten bags with little to no meat, with the majority being sweet potatoes and the bottom "dust" that settles in the bag. It's like I got the last of the bin--and all the good stuff went to another bag. Not sure how they dispense their food--but where ever the meat is settling--it's not in the bags I get--so much so--that even though my dog loves this food--I will look for another brand. My dog is not a vegetarian. She eats meat--and if I buy a product that says it has meat--then I expect it to be there- I don't expect to have inconsistency depending on when and what I ordered. It's too bad. This is a very good brand and the quality of the food provided seems to be great--but if you say you have turkey--then put turkey in the bag...and make it complete.
I have contacted Chewy and they have replaced the bag with no issue. My complaint is not with Chewy...they are great. Sojos needs to do more checking in terms of quality control. It should not be that one bag has a bunch of meat (I've seen this) and another bag has little to none--if you are buying the complete mix.
