by drdolitle My Dogs Love it and its rated very high in nutritional excellence
I feed all my dogs Taste of the Wild dry kibble, but to give them the added moisture they need I also give them a scoop of taste of the wild canned soft food mixed in. The dog food advisor rated this flavor (Southwest Canyon formula) 4.5 stars out of 5 for nutritional value AND they love it! Add in Chewy.com's prices, autoship with discounts, and dedication to their customers and pets and it's the best!! Awesome sauce :-)

Rated 4 out of 5 by suki3380 Thankful for another option.
My dog seems to be allergic to chicken, and now perhaps turkey. Good luck finding a product without either- hidden in the recipe! I'm thankful for this offering, and he eats it up, licking his bowl clean. I like that it has gravy and I mix in some dry food, but not a lot...along with fresh meat and veggies. I appreciate the alternative choice. Wish there were also ibex, antelope, and rabbit. maybe in time!

I put my dog on taste of the wild 3 years ago because of his loss stools. Through much research and a lot of vet bills I went on line and came up with this product. Then I contacted taste of the wild through the internet and they sent me samples of the dry food to try. I was very impressed with the co.So I started shadow on the dry salmon and then thought to add a little bit of the wet to the dry. I now buy the 30 lb bags of the dry but I try to change the flavor with each purchase . My dog has never had a bowel problem again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by CiaoLiz My picky dog loves this food
My dog has intestinal, digestive issues including colitis and a bout of HGE (which means stool that is just blood). She needs grain free, low in fat to manage her issues. She is picky and she loves this food and so far it she has not had any relapses with her colitis or HGE which is a great relief.

Rated 4 out of 5 by mikaau Perhaps too rich for some dogs?
I am in general a big fan of Taste of the Wild dog food. I buy the canned food to supplement the Taste of the Wild kibble I feed.
The grain free food produced by Taste of the Wild seems seems to be as high quality as some other higher cost brands.
Since I have switched to Taste of the Wild, my one dog's problems with itchy skin have disappeared.
The Southwest Canyon Formula is the only variety I won't be buying again as my dogs have both been a bit gassy after eating it. We did not have this issue with any of the other TOTW formulas.
Note that beef is the first ingredient.

My pit bull loves this. She isn't a huge fan of dry dog food, so I mix this in. She would literally go all day looking sad (and hungry) when all she has is dry food. Out of shear starvation she will break down in late evening and eat. I was told by countless people to only feed her at certain times and to not leave the food sitting out all day. In doing that she would become accustom to eating when shes fed and that would be that. Well, that wasn't the case. I started trying to mix it up for her and i"'be found that taste of the wild wet food seems to know her socks off. A scoop of taste of the wild dry and half a can of the wet food and there is no stopping her. She eats one can a day and getting from chewy.com is far less expensive than getting from the local pet store.
