Supporting Your Dog's Optimal Health to the CORE

Wellness CORE follows the nutritional philosophy that pets, based on their primal ancestry, thrive on a diet mainly comprised of meat. CORE formulas are packed with quality animal protein without fillers or grains, plus botanicals and nutritional supplements. These unique, grain-free recipes support and nurture your pet, contributing to his inner wellbeing all the way through to his core.

Why is CORE Different?

Unlike many grain-free diets, Wellness CORE considers your pet's whole health by ensuring the overall nutritional equation remains appropriate for everyday feeding. Higher protein can also mean higher fat, minerals and calories. By thoughtfully selecting specialized ingredients and managing nutritional ratios, CORE delivers protein-focused nutrition thoughtfully - with balance, not excess.

Fresh, Whole Food Ingredients

Wellness CORE provides a balanced profile of high-quality, natural ingredients appropriate for everyday feeding. These grain-free recipes contain absolutely no meat by-products, artificial colors, flavorings, preservatives, corn, wheat or soy.

Rated 1 out of 5 by very gluey. has ingredients that shouldn't be in there. hard to mix. not a great odor (i didn't taste it. dogs disinterested May 11, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Grain free I supplement wellness simple dry dog food with this canned food simply because I need a 1/2 teaspoon per pill to hide the eight garlic pills I feed my free ranging Golden Retriever each day. The garlic pills do as well as Frontline in minimizing tick problems. The other reason is it is grain free so more likely to be China - free too. Venison and lamb are more likely to be China - free too. May 4, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Healthy Choice Wellness Core is a very healthy dog food for your dog. My dogs just love it. A little pricey but well worth it. April 22, 2016
Rated 3 out of 5 by Carrageenan! I stopped using all of Wellness wet/canned food products after making a correlation between inflammatory bowel disease symptoms and carrageenan. Even the food grade one is still known to be an inflammatory with carcinogenic links. April 7, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Dog won't eat it Dog refuses to eat it. He takes one sniff and walks away, preferring to starve instead. March 23, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Product! I have a very finicky eater and even he loves it. I mix a little in with my boys' food and they munch it right down. No stomach upset, they love the taste. February 17, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by My dogs loved it! My dogs are picky eaters and they gobbled it down!! That says a lot about the taste. The ingredient list says a lot about what's it in. I trust the Wellness brand. February 5, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Goobled it down, even the cat Needed a food that would put some meat on my Pappiloin that had lost a lot of weight. She has congestive heart failure, and a very enlarged heart. We were told 2 years ago she had a few months to live. over that time she has deteriorated greatly. Both mentally and physically. She became terrified of me and would shake like a leaf and run away. Her spine has problems and she has trouble using her legs at times. She can't control them. Grooming her became impossible and trimming her nails a very unpleasant experience. I stated a while ago giving her extra food and treats and as long as I don't try to pick her up, she isn't as terrified as before. Her hearing is gone and her eyes are not so good. I have piddle pads all over the house for her, but she forgets to use them. She does have moments when she prances around like a pony and is happy. If not I would have put her down a while ago. Recently I did pick her up which was hard to do as she flails and twists for me to put her down. I found that she had lost most of her weight and was now skin and bones. She has a nice coat so you could not tell. I needed to get her something that would put back some weight on her. Her bed is very lofty so she is comfortable in it and stys in her crate most of the time, She became afraid of the other animals and the crate is her safe place. I called and was recommended this food. I plan on giving her an extra meal a day and use it with her kibbles. She has trouble eating as she is unaware at time if she has food in her mouth and just chews. I gave her 1/3 of this can tonight. She loved it. Not only did she love it but my cat that never touches the dogs food was eating the food that fell out of her mouth. My other dog licked what was left of the bowl clean. I think gaining weight may help her mind and body, but not her heart. Since she is such a mess health wise, I think adding some extra weight will benefit the rest of her. If it makes her heart worse and she passes away, at least she is will have and the joy of eating something she really loved and perhaps she will let me hold her if she some fat on her. I know that it has a good fat content, not as much as her kibble, but she has trouble chewing kibble. I will keep up with this food for her, but not give it to my other dog as part of her meal as she doesn't need to gain any weight. Pappilions are high energy dogs and need high protein foods. I did look at all the other foods and this one has the most protein and she loves it. Thanks for finding it for me. February 23, 2016
