Wellness Simple Limited Ingredient Diet Lamb & Oatmeal Formula Dry Dog Food
Finally found a food that works for my dog!
My German Shorthaired Pointer suffered from loose stool and bad gas since picking him up as a pup. After trying numerous top of the line foods with different proteins/ingredients and different feeding schedules/amounts, nothing seemed to work. After a recent examination by my vet, she finally suggested a prescription (low residue) food because of a highly sensitive stomach. I looked into the brand/type of prescription food available through her practice, and was not happy with the ingredients and analysis. I immediately starting searching for other options and found Wellness Lamb and Oatmeal. I am so happy that I gave this food a try. I very slowly worked it into his current food, but immediately noticed a difference in his stool. He is now eating 100% Wellness Lamb and Oatmeal and things couldn't be better. I spent countless hours and dollars trying to find something that worked for him and I am so relieved to finally have found the answer. Anybody who has been in my position knows how frustrating it can be when you have done everything you can and nothing seems to work. This food is a miracle. As always, Chewy.com makes it super easy and I am looking forward to finally being able to setup an autoship.

My "Problem" dog,FINNEGAN, loves the food! My other 2 would love to have it,too, but we are seniors with only social security to live on so with 2 dogs in the 66-78 pound range and 1 in the 45# range,it keeps us hopping! Rescue dogs are my passion and with Finnegan's troubles with a very rare autoimmune disorder,he was very "gassy!" This food has helped and I love the auto delivery plan. THANKS!!

This is good dog food.
I feed my bischon thisfoodbecause of his allergies. Yes, I have seen improvement in his skin and not much itching and/or chewing on his feet.
So, thanks Wellness. We will continue on this food.

Meets His Needs
Our dog has a very sensitive stomach and is prone to allergies where he will chew his feet. Since introducing him to the Wellness Simple dry food he has been free of stomach problems except when he manages to get something other than the food we give him. He has been on this food for at least 4 years, likes it and seems to thrive on it. He is also less prone to skin allergies, especially paw chewing in the spring.

Good simple diet
My dog has issues with poultry (chicken, turkey, duck) and this was a good alternative. She gets diarrhea if on too rich of a food, this stopped that (finally!). I only gave it four stars as she does not gobble it down like other foods, I think it may be a bit bland for her taste buds, but she does eat it without a fight. Her coat is healthy and shiny as well. I wish it had a bit more protein too around 25%, but for a dog that has issues with too rich a food, this does well.

This product has stopped my dog from getting hot spots!
I tried this limited ingredient food because my goldendoodle was constantly getting hot spots. Since starting this food, he has not had a single one! It is expensive but worth it, and most of all, my dog LOVES it! In fact, he just mowed down his breakfast in the time it took me to write this review, and he has been eating the same formula for at least a couple of years. I would definitely recommend this to anyone whose dog has any food sensitivities!

NOW MORE EXPENSIVE -why did they change the formula?
The Wellness Simple food was just fine before...why did they change the formula? Also, the new formula is more expensive. As there was no advance notice of the change, I had source an extra bag of the old formula to mix in with the new to introduce the new formula to my dogs.

good dog food
Alright, so as far as I can tell its great dog food the only reason I gave a low score is because the last two bags of this dog food that I have gotten have only been half full once you open it and break the vaccum seal you only end up with half of what you thought you paid for.
