GREAT DRY SENIOR DOG FOOD MY SENIOR DOBBERMAN ( SHE IS 8 NOW WAS DRINKING TOO MUCH WATER, SPECIALLY AFTER EATING HER MEAL IN THE EVENING. SHE DRANK SO MUCH THAT SHE STARTED TO HAVE "ACCIDENTS" INSIDE THE HOUSE. I TOOK HER TO THE VET AND HAD ALL KIND OF TESTS DONE AND ALL WAS FINE. HER DR. SUGGESTED TO CALL THE FOOD COMPANIES AND ASK FOR THE SODIUM CONTENT. I CALLED WELLNESS AND THIS DRY SENIOR FOOD IS ONLY O.14 % IN SODIUM. SO I INMEDIATELY SWITCH TO "WELLNESS". AFTER FEW DAYS MY DOBERMAN "BLUESHE" STARTED TO DRINK LESS AND LESS WATER. NOW SHE IS BACK TO NORMAL AGAIN. I HAD RECENTLY SWITCHED HER DIET TO A HOLISTIC DRY SENIOR FOOD BECAUSE THE FOOD SHE WAS EATING WAS RECALLED AND I COULD NOT FIND IT ANYWHERE. THAT WHEN THE DRINKING STARTED. SO SWITCHING TO "WELLNESS" HAS BEEN GREAT. HER STOOL IS FIRM, SHE LOVES THE FOOD AND SHE IS BACK TO BE THE SENIOR HAPPY ENERGETIC DOG SHE ALWAYS WAS. May 8, 2013
Ingredients you feel good giving your dog! Our dog was diagnosed with congestive heart failure this fall. We wanted to do what we could from a nutritional standpoint, and we feel great about this product choice. We slowly switched over from the Kirkland brand dry dog food with no issues, and he seems to be eating more consistently too (before he occasionally would skip a meal/lack of interest). He had had lost some weight (not desired), but looks to have gained it back (bones not as predominant). We haven't weighed him yet, so this is just a subjective looking more 'healthy'. Dog Loves Wellness For Seniors I have been feeding my dog the Wellness dry and wet food but my vet recently told me to switch to the senior kind because it has less protein. This is easier on the kidneys and livers of older dogs. My dog loves this food; even if I don't put any of the senior wet food on it. September 3, 2012

Noticable change I'd been giving our precious 12 year old, 30 lb Bichon/Standard Poodle Mix 'Bungee' glucosamine/chondroitan supplements for his aging hips (worn by years of boucing) but Wellness Super5mix Just for Seniors is doing an excellent job of keeping him pain free and moving freely. He loves it, and is holding at his normal healthy weight. July 14, 2012
