Rated 5 out of 5 by ktevi Excellent Value
I ordered this flavor by mistake - my dog prefers "stews" over the pate style. I didn't think he'd care for it, but I was completely wrong. He loves it! You can't go wrong with the Whole Earth Farms line from Merrick. No carrageenan, nb ingredients from China, grain free...similar brands sell for upwards of $3 per can; this evens out to be $1.84. You can't beat it! This food is also packed nutritionally.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bridgett Merrick is a great food
I have purchased alot of Merrick products and am completely satisfied, so when they came out with a "less" expensive canned food I thought I'd give it a try and wow my dogs love this one too. Now what I do is mix the bag dry , with a little of this - it's a win for my pocket book and a win for my dogs. I also want to add a little note here about Chewy - they are great, food arrives nicely packaged, and fast, usually have it within a day or two. Kudos to Chewy !

Rated 5 out of 5 by GravitysGone High Quality Grain-Free at a Golden Value
Ingredients: DogFoodAdvisor.com gives Whole Earth Farms (by Merrick) 5 out of 5 stars. Label states 9.5% protein and 6% fat, which is essentially a 33/51/16 protein/fat/carb ratio when corrected for moisture content. The low carb/moderate fat content is a good balance for the nutritional needs of my 5 ½ year old Golden Retrievers, which have been historically prone to weight gain.
Observations: The dogs love this canned food. The texture and smell are surprisingly pleasing to the human senses, and whole peas and carrot slices can be seen in the loaf-like texture. I utilize the canned food basically as a topper, and mix with the Wellness Core Reduced Fat or Performance Edge I dry foods. I switched to grain-free after the female experienced an acute case of Pancreatitis. I tend to rotate canned foods every few weeks, but Whole Earth seems to be their favorite. Since the bout of Pancreatitis, I watch the dog’s weights and behavior closely for any upset symptoms, and I have never noticed any irregularities while feeding Whole Earth. Using this food as a topper has not shown to hinder their weight loss goals either. I prefer the “Adult” formulation or the Chicken & Turkey, but the Red Meat Recipe is good to fit into the rotation for some variety.
Price/Value: Chewy has the best price I have found on this product anywhere. This product typically costs in the range of $0.14/oz, making it a value among high end grain-free canned food. The only cheaper canned food that has the consistent quality of Whole Earth (i.e. dogs have not had any apparent digestive upsets) is the “By Nature” 95% Chicken canned food. I recommend Whole Earth Farms as a very high quality, and better than average value food.

My greyhound Giorgio is allergic to chicken so I always look for food with out chicken. This red meat formulation meets our needs and my picky eater likes it!

Rated 5 out of 5 by Bugsy Good, inexpensive wet food
I have used Merrick canned food for years. This Whole Earth Farms variety has proven to be great for my two Dobes. Neither dog can have chicken, lamb or venison, so beef is one of our main choices. They digest this well, and the price just cannot be beat. Although Petco carries this brand, Chewy's price is always going to be less. I recommend this product also because of the lack of carrageenan, an additive that may cause problems in some dogs.

So far my dogs like it. I try to give them a variety in their wet food... dry I never change.

Rated 1 out of 5 by CockapooMom10 My dog doesn't like this
This is much drier than the typical Merrick dog food, and my dog won't eat this unless he is starving or I pour chicken broth over it (and even thence leaves much of it uneaten). I will go back to regular canned Merrick.
