Product Description

Archetype is the original raw dog and cat food diet from Wysong, and emulates the food canines and felines eat in the wild – the diet they are genetically programmed for. Wysong raw dog & cat food products are manufactured with a proprietary TNT (True Non-Thermal) technology, and are the safest, most genetically appropriate raw pet foods on the market. Archetype, first and foremost, is not heated above 118 degrees Fahrenheit – a True Non-Thermal freeze-dried raw product! These products are designed to achieve optimal nutrition that is beyond minimal regulatory standards for so-called “100% complete and balanced” diets.

Rated 1 out of 5 by My dog would not touch this My Westie Millie has been on freeze dried raw for 8 months. We usually buy primal freeze dried in chicken, turkey, and duck. She has also had lamb and beef. She loves them all and is in the clean plate club. I normally crumble the primal and rehydrate with water. I did the same thing with the wysong rabbit freeze dried. I measured out what she normally eats of her reg. food and added warm water and rehydrated it. She came running for dinner like usual but when I put it down she took one bite and then walked away. She never does this! So I dumbed it down the drain and made her some of her primal and put it down and she ate it all up. I have tried a few other brands on occasion and she prefers the primal but she has never refused to eat any meat based diet so I do not know. I will not try this again, and I do not recommend it. We have a bag of the chicken and I hope that goes over better. I guess I should just stick to what she likes. Thanks for reading my review :-) Becky December 6, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by My canines appreciate this food I've been a hobby show-breeder of toy breeds for 15 years. I've found that the majority of my dogs seemed to really like this food. It's just expensive, but the cost is par with other freeze dried foods. Seems the felines aren't especially fond of this food, based on other reviews, but canines like it, per my personal experience. Rated 2 out of 5 by Thought my cats would love this, but... None of my four cats even touched this when I rehydrated and put it down for them. I tried giving this to my son's Shiba Inu, but he wouldn't touch it either. My cats that like freeze dried raw love another brand that is sold on this site, so I will go back to that one. Rated 4 out of 5 by good stuff great for dogs with allergies and sensitive stomach My dog really liked it. It's a little pricey so I am just using as a toper for her regular food. It comes as a dust like product with some bigger chunks. So mixing it with wet food works better for us. You can also rehydrate using water. April 18, 2014
Rated 2 out of 5 by Wouldn't eat it Disappointed my cats didn't like this one. Hoped to get them closer to raw diet. They wouldn't eat it solo on the plate nor mixed with one of their faves. They ate around the Wysong. June 10, 2014
