Rated 3.5 out of 5 by 15 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Yay Wysong! I only use canned food for my dogs as a topper/supplementary food so the 95% meat and no starch is EXCELLENT for me! This food is not meant to be a full, balanced diet but if you want a topper/supplement definitely give it a shot! (My dogs eat it happily -- but they're not picky at all and my cat doesn't seem to like rabbit food so I haven't tried it on him) May 12, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Rusty cans? No way! The ingredients look fantastic. The problem is the packaging. Didn't even want to try feeding this to my cat after noticing very quickly that can after can after can shows signs of RUST. Two paws down. May 1, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by Cats hate it All four of my cats do not like this food, I mix other wet food and they will eat some of it. April 8, 2016
Rated 1 out of 5 by cats won't eat it I bought 2 cases of this because I liked the ingredients. My cats (3)however would barely touch it. I tried to get them to eat it by mixing in their old food and they would eat more but I was throwing out over 50% of it. We found a feather in one of the cans (rabbits don't have feathers right?) The texture varies greatly and some of the cans had lots of white chunks that looked like fat. I like the idea of their foods but what's the purpose if your cats won't eat it? I have tried some of wysongs dry food as well and ended up giving it all away. I will not be purchasing Wysong again. February 12, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Even my most picky dogs love it! My husband and I are owned by seven dogs, various breeds, four are rescues and are now in there senior years. Although they have been on premium kibble since adopted, my rat terrier has developed a liver problem so we looked into finding food that was even better and came across Wysong products. We emailed Wysong and asked for their advice as to what they would recommend. In addition to Wysong senior kibble, they suggested their line of Epigen canned food. We first tried a variety six pack and found all of our dogs singled out the rabbit as their favorite with duck as a close second. Even our papillon wolfs it down! And he has been a real challenge with finding food he likes. So now they all get rabbit mixed in with their kibble, even our rottie! Of course, you can't beat chewy prices or their fast delivery, so we buy Wysong food through chewy. September 20, 2015
Rated 2 out of 5 by Of three cats not one will eat it I don't know why they don't want this food. They eat wild rabbits they catch. They loved roast rabbit the one time I tried cooking it. But they just wouldn't touch this stuff. I like the idea of feeding them something their ancestors evolved eating- it seems healthy- so I wanted this food to work out. I also enjoy that it has a pull-off lid so I get a break from the canopener. Too bad it didn't work for us. I'll try one more can, maybe mixing it with their usual food, and if that doesn't work I'll give the rest to a friend. Note that this is a complementary food not a staple food. That means it doesn't have the vitamins/minerals/aminos supplemented to be in perfect balance, & wouldn't provide adequate nutrition if this were all you fed your pet. Use it only occasionally, while continuing to rely on a well-balanced food for most of their meals. January 27, 2015
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great protein with no fillers- Wysong dedicated to pet's well being! I've been feeding Wysong canned Rabbit and Chicken to my dogs for years- they get a little every night - along with their dry food during the day - and they LOVE it. Wysong is a company committed to healthy processing of their products - I have a 13 year old Lhasa Apso who's had Wysong for 7 years now - and he is a healthy weight and plays like he's 2! I use to order directly from Wysong - but now with Chewy.com - I'm on auto delivery for this product. Lastly - this rabbit is all from scrap - they aren't raising rabbits to turn into dog food- it's a rich healthy protein - my dogs love! April 6, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by They Eat This, Naturally. 1st time rabbit was introduced, most of them munched a bit, some more than others, and all said, "Later". 2nd time and onward, all eat. They don't chow down as though there is no tomorrow, mind you. But, they eat their serving - as though it is the normal food to be eating. They are satisfied with less in a day's time. I have more available for them. They just simply are satisfied. They get 1 Tablespoon per kitty at each serving. I happily serve them as many servings and as often as they want them throughout the day. So, 1 rounded Tablespoon per kitty per serving. And, you know, between the 5 kitties, each weighing around 12 pounds or so, 26 ounces lasts 2 days. That's actually about 26 Tablespoons. I am acutely aware of the kibble issue. I am all for no kibble. My cats like to round out their rabbit feast which is currently once weekly with some kibble munching. No, I don't know why. Maybe they they like the crunch and flavor burst. Maybe, it's desert for them. They used to feast from the field and creek. But, we had to move, kitties are currently sequestered, unable to catch and munch for themselves. Just saying: Wysong Rabbit in a can meets the approval of my ferals. That's saying a lot. My older kitty that, if she ever caught anything wild when outdoors, she did not let me know, likes it, too. She played in that field for a good 9 years and had a litter when young, so, most likely, she did enjoy the hunt and catch of cat kingdom. Senior Senior Gal (newest pride member) has begun eating the rabbit if....I add a little bit of the tuna into her serving. So, she is getting, currently, 1/2 tsp in the mix. But, am looking forward to bringing that down to 1/4 and then, none. She's never had canned cat food or caught her own as much as we can find out from folks that were caring for her while finding her the right home after her human crossed over the rainbow bridge. She has some funny quirks due to her age and that her human was a senior senior himself. But, she is enjoying the pride - that's a new experience for her. She is getting to be so very catty. I am so very grateful that she ate most of her rabbit this past time! Give this a go for your kitty! My kitties give it a Paws Up! August 22, 2015
