Customer Ratings & Reviews

Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Quality Kibble for Dogs (and cats) I have a 7 month old boxer puppy and I have been feeding him a variety of kibbles trying to find just the right combination to get the results I want. This has been part of his diet since I brought him home. Very high quality kibble. A much higher protein level then most dog and puppy food available. The results with using this food has been great! My boy has a wonderful silky, shiny coat, he is very healthy and has been gaining weight appropriately. He is learning very fast and I attribute that to his diet. Great food at a great price. Rated 5 out of 5 by Only starchfree kibbles on the matket Wysong Epigen is actually the ONLY real starchfree kibble. It's very hard to find locally and when you do find it, the price is much higher than Chewy.com It's best to mix Epigen with another premium kibble because by itself it renders the stool a little too soft in my experience anyway. Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for allergic dogs I am very pleased with Epigen for my Westie. She has allergies and before Wysong I was having a really tough time controlling the itch even with a $100 a month vet's prescription. Once I changed her diet and got the starch out, she improved tremendously and even doesn't need the medicine in the winter any more. August 29, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by I like the food, my cat does not. I have been feeding a well known grain free brand to my kitten but now that he is almost a year I really wanted to switch him to a diet more designed for the carnivore he is. He's not much of a picky eater, not a fan of red meat but loves all thing poultry/bird or salmon. When I introduced the Wysong he took one sniff, one lick then turned and walked away without even taking one bite. I've had to mix it with much more wet food than usual and even then he will pick around the kibble to get every bit of wet food and then even lick the wet off the kibble bits. This has resulted in much looser stool with a much stronger smell. My poor guy has even lost a bit a weight from his refusal to eat. I was really wanting him to love this food as much as I love the idea of how healthy it can be for him. I have broken down and bought a bad of his old food again because I am worried about any more weight loss. Perhaps I'll try a sample bag of a different Wysong product and see if I have better results. Yes I would still recommend this food to a friend but would urge them to try sample sizes first. Rated 3 out of 5 by Dog loved it Introduced to fast and gave my dog diarrhea but she loved it April 4, 2016
Rated 4 out of 5 by Great Food, But Read Review My belgian malinois is highly allergic to grains. I purchased this food because it was slightly less expensive than typical special diets for my dog, being that he's sixty pounds and eats like a horse! I used to feed him Honest Kitchen grain free, but his vet was concerned because he kept losing weight, no matter how much he ate. This food is good because you can feed less (probably due to the high protein content). However, when I switched my dog to it, he had SEVERE diarrhea for about ten days. Even now, his stool is still mushy. However, the itchiness he was experiencing has calmed down, and he loves this food. I am sticking with it for another week or so with the hope that his stool will regulate. He is putting on weight as well. February 13, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by Wysong Epigen This is by far the Best dry Kibble out there. My Ferrets Love their Kibbles :) The ingredients start off with Meat followed by healthy veggies, vitamins Etc. Thank you for caring and making such a good dry pet food for my babies/ferrets and all the other loved pets out there. Thanks Yvonne, Pepper, Mitts & Pica (Peeka) :) March 2, 2016
Rated 5 out of 5 by So Affordable, and Healthy! I work at an animal shelter, and I admit it, I'm kind of a cat food snob. I'll also admit that by feeding them natural food, my cats eat healthier than I do most of the time. I've always been a proponent of natural cat foods, but Wysong Epigen is my favorite. When I order, I buy two 8 lb bags and a bag of treats or a toy and I get free shipping. Each bag lasts me approximately 1.5-2 months per 3 cats who get measured amounts of food morning and night. People who buy low quality cat food at the grocery store say natural food is too expensive. Are you kidding? Not with Wysong! I pay less than a bag of *major cat food brands* food costs, and because I measure their food, it lasts and lasts, unlike many people who constantly keep their cat's bowl full. Keeping it in an air-tight storage container helps with freshness! I recommend this product to everyone, but I have yet to meet anyone else who feeds Wysong to their pets. February 16, 2014
